Tristan also thought this little discussion would be best handled in private. There were a number of people around he didn't quite think he could trust. He followed Broïndur as he walked off.

Your mark is a svelte female in chainmail with a sword on her back and a fat purse on her hip. She'd currently preoccupied digging through a bag on her other hip and doesn't seem to be paying any attention to you.

Those following Broïndur:
Broïndur finds a relatively private spot in the shadow of the Guild. Much of the crowd is dispersing with speed, adventurers shooting off in different directions, presumably to find or retrieve items for the hunt. There is a reasonable number remaining behind, however, either conversing with themselves or trailing after Lord Markham and his entourage, who are retreating into the Town Hall for the contest. Especially sharp-eyed individuals can note a few other groups taking themselves off privately as Broïndur has, and a small group making their way up to the abandoned stage.

Mat was not looking in the direction his companions had gone with his one remaining eye (Which was still taking some getting used to), so after he put his knife back he completely missed the fact that they had walked away from him. He didn't let this phase him though, after all he barely knew them and all the people he happened to be traveling with would be able to sense weakness or uncertainty and some might take this to their advantage. Young master Cauthon found, much to his surprise, that he was going to the lighthouse, near the back of the group of NPCs that had started wandering in that direction. (Edited for clarity)

Broïndur noticed not everyone was with him, but enough of them were along to make the decision. Even a homonculus-like human, who Broïndur had not seen, or noticed perhaps, on the ship the night before. Somewhat ironic for someone with a Dwarf soul to think of someone like that. A majority vote would do, and if the Grog and the One-eyed one disagreed, they could always take their share and part ways. Broïndur set the sheaf of dead Dragonflies down.
"Right, our first order of business is Funds. I have a sheaf of dead beasts at my feet worth roughly 850 coin in bounty. The plan that ehh....." Broïndur tried to remember the names of the people who had not gone to the swamp, he pointed at the people he indicated to help jog his memory "Whincewind and ehh..... Fennel would go to the local pub te try an earn themselves some coin failed. Now as far I ken see, there's two ways of doin' this fair. Either everyone gets an equal share o' what he contributed too. Meaning that the bounty is split up a'tween the ones who killed 'em. Or we appoint someone treasurer, who collects all coin our group earns and spends it in our joint behalf. Think about it." Broïndur more or less ordered.
"The other point of business is this treasure hunt. Again, I see two ways of doin' this. Either we all stick tegether fer safety in numbers, but we'll be a lot slower. Or we split up into seperate groups, tryin' te gather what we gather best. What say you?"

Grog was surprised to see such a woman in this kind of event. It seemed that she was alone and it could only help in getting the money from her.
But what a woman it was! She had a beautiful body and her hair ((let it be long and blonde)) was floating in the breeze.
"Should I make my move? She could be a great asset to our group if we are to win the hunt, but how am I going to make her notice me?", Grog thought to himself. "The sword indicates that she's a warrior and that leads to conclusion that she and I have something in common. Maybe I can impress her? Well, the only way to find out is to talk to her..."
Grog approached the woman.
"Hey, I see that you're alone and I thought that I could help you in the hunt. I am already in a group, but they wouldn't mind if I played against them."
Grog scratched his arm hoping that the woman would notice. Luckily for him, she did.
"Oh, my arm is itching. Must be those mosquitoes from the swamp. I've been killing some Dragonflies in there and they probably got me.", Grog said, "Now, what is a woman so beautiful doing in a Scavenger Hunt?"

"It's Rincewind, not Whincewind."
He considered what the green guy with the dragon flies said. He knew the bursar at the Unseen University. He was a sharp fellow... only he didn't end so well. Still that made Rincwind realize that the only thing worse than giving all their money to a crazy person is giving all their money to a smart person who can actually find it some use. Mainly for himself.
"Money I can live without. It's the lack of food and water that might make it a tad difficult. I propose that we buy supplies for the whole group and then you can split the rest however you like." Rincewind said to the group.
It's not that Rincewind didn't like money. Every Ankh-Morporkian likes money. It's just that if he could avoid getting himself in dangerous situations by simply giving up on his share, he would take a vow of poverty there and then. He would also make damn sure to be the first one to volunteer to the more trivial tasks at hand.
"I vote for splitting up. I, for one, would love to go to the lighthouse to get us some glass and maybe a compass."

Even though the mean giant had shoed him away, Koto figured that the group might be up to something interesting, so he quietly followed them, hoping no one would notice. However, it did seem like the big green skinned giant did. "Green-skinned?" Koto thought "Yes, he was green-skinned like the desert people, but the green giant does not seem to share any of other traits of them. For one thing he had sought the shade, something that the desert people detested. For the other part his skin was actual skin, and not scales. Thirdly he seems to be a bulky warrior instead of an agile speardancer."
"Right, our first order of business is Funds. I have a sheaf of dead beasts at my feet worth roughly 850 coin in bounty. The plan that ehh.....Whincewind and ehh..... Fennel would go to the local pub te try an earn themselves some coin failed. the green skin said
""It's Rincewind, not Whincewind." the mean giant said "So the other giants name is something along the lines of Fennel then."
"About the money from the bar." Koto spoke up "I do seem to have gotten my hand on a few...purses that the good giants of this island lost during their...disagreements."
"The other point of business is this treasure hunt. Again, I see two ways of doin' this. Either we all stick tegether fer safety in numbers, but we'll be a lot slower. Or we split up into seperate groups, tryin' te gather what we gather best. What say you?" the green skin said.
"I vote for splitting up. I, for one, would love to go to the lighthouse to get us some glass and maybe a compass." Rincewind said
Koto kept silent about how the party should split up.

"Oh, my arm is itching. Must be those mosquitoes from the swamp. I've been killing some Dragonflies in there and they probably got me."
For some reason she relaxes a little at this.
"Yes, the Dragonflies are badly behaved here." She has a bit of an accent. "The stupid villagers feed them; they do not learn proper fear. It is wasteful."
"Now, what is a woman so beautiful doing in a Scavenger Hunt?"
"I come to earn my place in my new country. The knights, they are brave; they do not fear their own." She looks at you quizzically. "I speak too much; you will tell me why you are here as well."

"Well," Tristan paused to give the gold division option some thought, "having a community pool might be a good idea, but if the single person who has all of our gold gets it stolen away from him, then we are all out of all our gold. If we split it up... Do not put all of your eggs in one basket, I think they said."
Tristan looked at the engravings he made on his shield before he went to the next point.
"As far as us splitting up, I suppose we could do that if we want. All of us wandering around separately, aimlessly, we could cover more ground than sticking together. Not sure about it being safer for any of us, but sure. I would not mind checking out this cure wounds potion. Sounds beneficial, even if I can somehow heal wounds myself."

Absolutely! They feed the Dragonflies, the Dragonflies grow up and now we have to get rid of them. I don't think that this is really working in the favor of the people here.
"I come to earn my place in my new country. The knights, they are brave; they do not fear their own. I speak too much; you will tell me why you are here as well."
Me? Well...", he takes a moment to come up with something to tell her, "... I, uh... I was on my way here to enter the Scavenger Hunt, but a storm got in my way and my boat sunk. I was rescued by some... Dark Elf traders. Oh, by the way, my name's Grog."
It seemed that Grog really managed to attract the woman's attention and he was happy about it.
"May I know you name?", Grog asked , paying attention to sound polite.

((OoC: Sorry for the long wait, I was sorta busy with other things, but I completely forgot this.))
Broïndur considered the words of the members of the group for a bit, before answered.
"Aye, if that's the way of things, I think the best way to do things is this. The ones who went with me to the swamp split the bounty for the Dragonflies, once I turn them in. Rincewind, you," he pointed at Fandrall," and the half-pint split the money nicked during the barfight. But I suggest we do it tenight, since we need to beat the others to it."
Broïndur looked round, doubting anyone would object, for all it seemed a fair way to split the money earned.
"As far as splittin' up for the hunt goes," Broïndur looked at Rincewind, "Rincewind, ehhh, the one-eyed lad with the spear, I ferget his name, is already on his way te the lighthouse, I think. You'd better catch up with him quickly and see what ye ken do about the glass and the compass."
He turned to Tristan.
"Tristen, you lookin' fer the potion is a good idea. An'ye already have a tome of spells, but see if ye ken find another. If push comes te shove, I fear we'll have te turn in yers, but if we win, we'll rich enough te buy ye a new one. An' see if ye ken get Grog te come along with ye, threaten te cutt him out of his part o' the bounty if he becomes difficult."
He turned to Koto, despite not knowing his name.
"Half-pint, come with me, if ye would. Yer kinda slinky and I have a few ideas te get our hands on the religous thing and the longbow."
Lastly he turned to Fandrall.
"Te be honest, I've no idea what a shark is, but ye're a tough lad. I'm sure ye ken find one and knock it's teeth out."
He turned again, making sure he adressed everyone.
"I suggest we meet, ehh, behind the blacksmiths around nightfall te see how far got."
Broïndur picked up the sheaf of dead Dragonflies and hefted it onto his shoulder. He started toward the Elemental-guild and indicated Koto to follow him. "Are ye comin', laddy?"

"Ummm... sorry, but before he goes, can I have my third of the bar money? It's usually a good idea to have some cash on you, just in case."
((Regardless of the answer))
Happy that once again he got the easier way out, Rincewind hurried in the direction of the lighthouse. He tried to make out his one-eyed companion in the crowd. The one that ignored him earlier this morning. Still better a rude ally that can fight your foes than no ally whatsoever. And it's not like Rincweind was a stranger to traveling with people who looked down upon him. In fact, except for one instance, that's the only way he traveled.

Bowie/Grog:
Keska seems to hesitate. "They will not want to take the time..." although it's clear she's thinking it over, she just isn't sure if it will work.
From the stage comes a brief interruption.
"Excuse me please! Can I have everyone's attention?" The group of adventurers making their way up on the stage have made it, and their spokesman—a man in clerical robes—tries valiantly to address the crowd that remains, most of whom are discussing tactics for the contest or waiting in line outside the Town Hall and not the least interested in listening. The other two stand behind him, fidgeting and looking anxious, scanning the faces of the people still present, searching for something or—it soon becomes clear, someone.
After a little more of this, the cleric seems to decide this is as good as it's going to get (as people are still trailing away), and tries to speak again:
"Our companion, Calimund, he disappeared out of his bed last night. He has a long beard, dark robes, and gray hair—he looks like he's in his late fifties." A few people seem to be paying attention now, but not many. It's clear most of those present don't care. "If anyone sees him, please tell him Dais is looking for him—that's me—or contact me or one of my companions here at the inn. Thank you for your attention."
The cleric and his companions then start off the stage.
----------------
Mat and Rincewind:
((Sorry gnomes, Geny, didn't mean to leave you hanging like that. :S))
Rincewind catches up to Mat after a few minutes, trailing along the edge of the swamp. It's slow going, as the vegetation here is thick. Eventually the pair of them hear unfamiliar voices off to their left, out of sight, and the occasional buzzing sounds from within the swamp to their right that steadily get louder as they proceed north.
((And I'll let you guys sync up if you like. After a few minutes you're attacked by three Dragonflies, one of which breathes fire. Easy fight.))
