Worms Revolution Gameplay Trailer
New features:
- Dynamic water based weaponry can wash away worms and cause continous damage if worms are left underwater.
- Worms now express themselves much more, reacting with body language to different events.
- You can outfit your worms with hats and trinkets, the latter being an item that the worms occasionally play with (e.g. basketballs, cakes, etc).
- Shopper Mode now drops crates of coins that you may use to buy weaponry for in-game. Crates containing traditional weaponry and healthpacks can also still be dropped.
- Worms are now divided into different classes: Soldier, a traditional worm; Scout, a highly mobile worm and light worm; Scientist, a brain-worm that supports your team; and Heavy, a slow, heavyhitting worm. Classic mode is of course also included, with all worms being of the more traditional Soldier role.
- Certain landscape physics objects move around rather than being destroyed, allowing you to trap other worms under them and in other ways dynamically change the battlefield. What's more, new battlefield objects include thing such as large lighters, that explode on impact; testtubes that emit poisonous gas when destroyed; and water bottles that release large amount of water to wash away your enemies.

Don't you just hate it when you run out of teleport? Rope just doesn't cut it and bungee is... useles.
Love it when they go "BUNGEE!" when I use it, though.

Noob just soldified his Worms noobness with that statement ^^
Ninja rope is all ya will ever need.
It's kind of nerfed in Worms Revolution, it no longer allows you to catapult yourself by extending the rope into the floor for instance. It now acts more like a real rope, and I kinda like it actually.
It looks a bit more awkward to use but the ninja rope in previous Worms games was so awesomely versatile that other tools (e.g. parachute, bungy rope) were redundant.

Well, in the games I've played rope didn't prove useful to me.
However, I don't say that it's useles to you

There was nothing you couldn't do with the ninja rope. Teleport was almost cheating for the lazy.

Apparently the rope was massively nerfed in Revolution. Why they had to mess with the perfection that was the W2/WA/WWP rope, I have no clue.

And besides, you couldn't continue kicking ass after using teleport, unlike with the rope. You lose the turn. I still have Armageddon installed on my laptop, and this discussion just makes me wanna play. Too bad there ain't anyone to play with.
Homing Missile is also pretty awesome. Target a piece of land floating in the air with it and watch the rocket circle it for 5 seconds before hitting it

Lol yeah, just loved playing with my brothers as they did multiple rope shots and tricks using physics and adjusting rope length for maximum effectiveness. I especially loved it when they screwed up their consecutive rope in mid air and fell into the water ^^

The rope play was a crucial fun part in Worms, hehe, especially dancing around minefields with a rope...*kabuum*

Worms was fun, but the fact that water was instant kill made people look for ways to drown the worms rather than damaging them. And nobody liked cave maps for some reason
It was a total screwup to have half of your team spawn on the cliff, asking to be baseball-batted to the ocean right away.
Worms 1 also had this, but it was more technical (and imho fun) with bazooka and grenade skills. In later versions they added a ton of idiot-proof weaponry. I could hit anyone with a grenade from three screens away, but it no longer counted in new versions with god-mode super sheep tier weapons.

worms hotseats were always fun. esspecially when drunk. I tried out the first two 3D games, but it wasn't the same as Worms World Party, which I first played. Some weapons are made from purest absurdity, but absurd humor is the cornerstone of the series.
I still have WWP with teams named after alcohol...

Did any of you try the new Worms? Reloaded, I think. They're fun, if nothing else, like all of the Worms games. Anyway, I agree with Doomforge, nobody knew how to throw the grenade, or even think about trying a tougher show with the bazooka. Having written this, it would seem ironical that I love to prod other worms into the water.

I think direct hits with a bazooka (worm in the center of explosion) should do 75 dam or so, same with grenade (or even more?) that would encourage people to use them more. And trust me, it's fun

I find Worms Reloaded to generally be a step down from the pure awesome that was WWP. I do not however regret buying it because hey, functional multiplayer. Armageddon was too much of a hassle for me to get working, and it didn't really take alt-tabbing all too well.
