Quote: Completly ignoring the fact that he still has all his liches, skeletons and i'm sorry, a kappa cannot 1 shot weavers and i'm pretty sure they can still attack when frozen.
You have assumed that because the weavers cannot immediatly attack they are useless, they are not. You have also assumed that neither skeletons nor liches are a threat, which they still are.
1. He hasn't got all his liches - the yukis are supposed to shoot them first.(He can Necro them back, but by then, Priestesses have already acted, and he's got bigger problems. - watch out for Purge though)
2. I never said anything about one-shotting Weavers, I was talking about blocking them, which prevents them from shooting. This will usually mean Kappas do suicide themselves, but that's not really a problem in this situation. Second turn, Kirins replace(probably dead) Kappas, and begin snowing Weavers - if he opts to transform first turn, that gets rid of their pesky Gaze, and they do half damage from then on, and magical damage at that. Considering the gauge slows down when he's not prodding butt, and Kirins are constantly regenerating, You are bound to dispose of them fast.
3. Skellies can be a threat, but mainly at close range - if he invests in archery 3, good for him, but that's kinda wasted, and by the time they could be a factor, You already have Stone Skin/Ice Armor, and they are ravaged by the poison gas.
4. If You doubt my words, I'm prepared to show You firsthand why this approach is better
EDIT: BTW I defeated Watcher for reals this time, replay up soon
Turns out we played sans mod, but fortunately neither of us went for Agony

I'm from Sweden so I guess we have the same time zone. I prefer to avoid gaming in the weekend when so many other things has to be squeezed in but I have some evenings free as well.
Tonight!
and Thursday evening.
I'll be ready from before 7.30 pm tonight!

Hi comm, what is the ruling on who attacks who, is it left person always attacks, or must the 2 players decide.
In H5 there was a bonus to the attacker, is there the same situation here?

@RedEmperor:
The attacker has a slight advantage, every odd turn beginning with the first, his side is favoured when any two creatures' initiative is equal(They go first in that case). Obviously, the defender gets every even turn, starting with round 2.(At least I think so, I may be wrong)
Players usually randomize who attacks by themselves, though if the two players can agree without it, randomizing isn't needed.

In the most overt display of how broken necro blood vs stronghold is I lost to locksley. I outplayed him completly on the battlefield, kept most of his units blocked and bunched up inside of a powerful acid cloud. Down to just 4 fateweavers and 55 vampires against my 14 cyclopses, 128 goblins and 50 centaurs. Wait what's this? h look, necro has finally casted a blood ability that isn't agony! (which i completly negated with purity). Oh look, 4 cyclopse dead to chain lightning. I finish off fate weavers. Oh look, agony on cyclopses dealing 1157 damage twice and thus killing them. Oh look, here comes petrify on his own vampires so i cannot do anything since I don't have dispel. And oh look, another chain lightning. All units dead.
I may sound like a sore loser, but it took almost no skill doing what he did to turn aroudn the game completly. Stronghold have no prime magic so their magic defence is very weak, and they can only dispel things once from purity.
Sorry guys, but I cannot show good sportsmanship in the face of this. Your reactions to this will probably be as extreme as mine, but I really need to vent about this. Until you see the video you cannot judge me here, and I know you will still be negative towards me because of what i've said here and that will make you pick out the tiny flaws I made (such as moving my own units into acid cloud!) but my argument is clear.
Fighting necro blood with stronghold with these levels and numbers is instant win to necro when players are of equal skill.
So yeah, Locksley won

Electric Power to the People of Pao
After a most unskillfull opening where missclicked Lamassus opened up my whole formation, while an acid cloud turned my forces to dust, Gameslayer skillfully countered all my plans with purity.
He was just about to grab his well earned victory...
...when CHAINLIGHTNING wiped out half his army in one blow.
Father Sky has no mercy.
Gameslayer played with skill, but I played with POWER.
But Do Not Cry any Tears, because if you want blood you have got it Sweet music by bands as electric as lightning... You are welcome to join my side as undead.
Thank you for a very exciting game, Gameslayer!

Stronghold depends a lot on initial charge, in a game with red emperor all he had left by end of turn 3 was a fraction of his skelies But in his defense it was blood vs blood so his units died faster and he also did not use a tactics II formation. Stronghold's strength lies in tactics II, inner fire and panther warriors often playing first, by the time necro gets to act the damage has been done. On the other hand if necro plays first things can get tense

I played first, charged in with everythign I had, but as i was tears couldn't kill him very quickly
I hate being forced into tears when a tears match up is just so hard vs necro

But when someone plays as poorly as I did even an untraditional approach should work fine.
EDIT: This was answer to Elvin's post.

game.. purity implies you were playing a stronghold MAGE. the game isnt balanced for duels but rather for normal games, where you can buy a hero in a tavern if the match up sucks. Just like I always take devil mage against any and all undeads, always take stronghold might vs undead. Even a stronghold tear might.

I must say I've been playing using tears route and always losing to blood match ups....you just can't deal any damage and your defense through tears isn't that great either. Seems blood always wins against tears whether might or magic. Could be wrong. But I lost 4 matches last night and didn't really learn anything.
