I dont know, personally i think sanc vs haven both might is fair and interesting although now i think sanc has an edge. I'd like to face Nik in this matchup during the tournie. I lost 2-times in a row.
I know that nikolas is a camper as well xD
I cant believe he outshot you with marksmen only. Could you gate Liliums to take them down. Also Pit Lords' special is an overkill in the matchup.

Oh yes, marksmen are extremely powerful with their pierce shot, especially when they are also easily made invulnerable due to guardian angel.
If you like I can play you in a match tongiht. Just look to see if im online on Uplay. If i am, it means im willing to play a match.

Hello everyone and sorry for being late to report our games with Elvin.But i am a terrible poster.For our last game since i was going against a powerful inferno hero i had to be careful not to feed his bar with MY lucky strikes.So I had to be cautious and choose one ore two damaging units.My choice were marksmen because i knew they would do insane damage with the marksman bow(+1 to min and max damage i think)and since they were level one units i could easily protect them every turn with GA.But the game would have been a disaster for me if that cerberi gate was not destroyed by Elvin himself.The only units that would be outside the taunt area of ravagers were my horses which had already been blinded and angels who cannot be taunted but i think they were not in range to hit those cerberi.So i would have got a pressed attack on those deadly archers but beeing unable to attack because of the taunt form ravagers and the block from cerberi.My only way out should have been heroic charge which i forgot to implement in my built.
But that was just out last game.
In game one i felt confident to challenge a necro blood magic hero with my Shoghun(might sanctuary tears)I thought i had a good plan.i would cast mass haste to be able to move almost all my units before Elvin's take down those lamasus that were blocking the way and block his shooters.But again i chose to go without heroic charge!Facepalm.Although i managed to do a good deal of damage on the lamasus i just couldnt finish them.And of course that was game over.
His shooters got to play at first turn and packed with a powerfull chain lightning i lost a great deal of troops.Even with 56%magic protection form honour vi my kappas were obliterated with a good lightning bolt dealing over 2500 damage and loosing more then half of my units.His mass decay also came into play and then i could not even move my creatures without losing a great deal of health.At the end i was left with my shooters but they were pathetic!since i was a tears hero.
For our second game i picked inferno might blood against his stronghold might tears hero.
well there is not much to say about that.his lucky counterstrike was filling my bar quite fast and since he was might i chose to do my damage with my magic shooters.So i gated a lot of breeders and succubi
(stronghold's magic defense is so damn low.)
after my first gating it was kind of a snowball for me.Luck was all over the place and of course game two was mine.

I think I'll start the bonkers cup on Wednesday or Friday so if you want this day to play remaining losers cup games, go ahead. In the evening I'll check the results and see if we have a winner. Or loser. Depends how you look at it ^^

this one i don't get:
1) Haven creatures have low luck to start with, so i don't believe there's gonna be that much luck involved
2) You might be concerned about retaliation but effectively one retaliates only to Angels (vestals heal, marksmen shoot, praets defend, griffs dive, glories and crusaders - no retaliation)
Why were you afraid of your own luck.
So the strat from your post in how to counter necro thread works in this matchup?

From what i have seen in this game luck seems to be bugged.It triggers much more than morale even if your primary luck stats are low.
To be honest i think that inferno's racial ability is the strongest for the duels at the moment.In normal games it usually is snowty unless you get the Gating vi,which will come to late in the game.
As for my strategy against necro, no you cant have the same built against inferno.I avoid luck and most of the times i would pick intimidation and taunt.these two can really turn the tables for you.

Indeed I feel that a low stat in luck is more than a low stat in morale. However once they both hit about 14 they seem to even out.
Also... vestals do more damage with their attack than heal. Except agaisnt inferno if your really that worried about luck, I feel you shoudl always attack with vestals rather than heal especially since it might cause pacification. Ofcourse this is coming from a blood mage who doesn't like healing based on principle

As a blood mage You should know that Holy Blades will dispel Pacification anyway.
