I watched the replay and there was some cool surprises – like the very logical consequence of transforming weavers would be that ambush get’s activated again. Cool to see that damage from meditation + spiders, but I think all that healing made it not to pay off as well as it could’ve. And early meditation meant that RedEmperor couldn’t compete in the game of outlasting. Cool to follow my chat with Poly and Elvin during artifacts selection fase. Good music. Surprising hesitation over Air III. Fire elementals and pressed attack were good choices.

I'll check this thread on March, 23rd.
I also advise Elvin to use http://challonge.com/ or any other free ladder generator to save time and not to do the brackets manually.
PS. Starcraft 2 tournaments often employ double elimination bracket: it gives a second chance to players who start with a strong opponent and works when there are no clear favorite(s) (which i believe its not the case). Up to anyone who will run the tournie anyway.

Nice Nameless, very good suggestion about programme setting tournament up  we currently are running 2 phase battle, per opponent - biggest thing we are trying to establish is op or up scenarios, Elvin is the co-ordinator for the tourneys - nice to have some new blood enter the tourney - WELCOME

also, me being 'mad' about you being in the cup was more of me still being frustrated that i lost to locksley
Yeah meditation spiders is a real killer to anyone who is not haven. Yet another way necro are OP.

Sorry if I react annoyingly to you but I am a guy who always attempts to be honourable. Attempting to convince people another chance to change the fact that you lost to me in an attempt to win a tournament is not honourable. Admit your defeat and get over it. I will always whine about locksley beating me and necro being OP, but I never once suggested we discard his victory and play again. It is an insult to his skill and the tournament in general. Not that I'm saying he deserved it mind you

I dont give a continental if you win or lose the losers cup, i dont care if i win it or not, i am playing these duels to have fun, if you cannot read into the humour firstly of trying crazy games, nmp, if you cannot see that i am at least trying to initiate some involvement in this losers cup, once again nmp. I have conceded that you have completely beaten me, well done. There has been 1 losers cup game for over 3 weeks, I'm not trying to sneak in any back door or remove your glory of winning this game - i havent disputed your win and in fact have congratulated and thanked you. To make you feel honourable, i will humbly step out of this tournament and wish you all the best.

I never said I wouldn't play for fun, nor hold a grudge against you for suggesting so, but these felt like you trying to get into the cup, especially since you also commented about me saying 3 weeks ago that you shouldn't be in the cup. 3 weeks ago. Then suddenly you say this:

I have defeated Arvisme. It was terrfying.
Going with my never-fails magic inferno I fought the mighty bloodthirsty orcs. His charge was very well executed, losing me nearly 3 stacks in the first turn. All his main attackers were up there right in my face, gwetting morale and hitting lucky strike after lucky strike. I was about to call bs when... wait a second, I HAVE GATING 4! Using my opponents luck to my advantage I scrambled together a hasty contain for his powerful cyclopses, whilst I harrassed his archer line with a new stack of pit lords. That was barely enough to get me back into the game. From there it was a short melee between all our units as my hero desperatly tries to cast spells to keep his cyclopses off my units. Abusing the hell out of his lack of dispel, I eventually ended the match with his cyclopse stack against my pitlord stack + my gated pitlord stack. My gated stack covered my main as I ran away from combat, holding him off for my hero to finish him.
A terrifying game there, WP Arvisemee. Yes there will be a video on it... sometime soon I guess....

Was a good game, if i would not done a few mistakes, like using racial ab at end of turn, and hiting archdemons after they had revenge on my army, and a misspostioning at start, i could ve won. But i learned something  . GG

Meanwhile I had forgotten to report my last game with Nikolas.
We agreed on a pyromancer versus paladin match(guess who was haven?) where things started rather well but.. something went awry. The griffins dived I summon a gate to block the marksmen in the gap they left, I charge with the ravagers.. Massive damage! And a gate destroyed. Wait what..? It *&%*& wasn't in their path! He just stopped in front of it God dammit! Fine, let's give him another good dose of destruction.. Marksmen don't look so frightening anymore. Reinforcements! I retract previous statement. I don't remember if they got luck but they certainly got morale and raped my ravagers and what else. They were supposed to be blocked by the gate but unable to attack it due to ravager aura! Turns out they had marksman crossbow too for +1 dmg! From there on I also had to deal with intimidation and those insanely boosted marksmen wouldn't go down
All in all it was a fun game, worthy of the finals. Congratulations to Nikolas, he has proven our strongest player for this season  I bestow upon him the vadge of Tears and Blood!
At the end of this day the Losers' Cup is considered over so finish what games you can and report what has already been played.

I'm curious how did he positioned his stacks. Archers, praetorians and griffs in the corner or did he put griffs in the vary corner and archers, praetorians, glories and vestal near?
Where did he put his glories? and what did he blind?
Did you camped in the corner?

So my guess is:
Nik put his army: griffs, archers, praetorians, glories and vestal in the corner. You cast puppet master?/inferno? on the first turn i guess puppet master on glories to blind crusaders, waited with ravegers and at the end of the turn you gated (what) in the corner and attacked with ravegers.
or sth like that
What was your and his spell choice?
How does Inferno spell work? Does it ever end or does it jump from stack to stack forever?
Sry for so many question but haven vs inferno is the match up i know the least about.

Yeah ti lasts forever until you manage to seprate the affected unit from everyone else.

Finally, a guy who understands me Alas it isa bit too late to join this one, you can play in the bonkers this week.
Pyromancer vs paladin is a most interesting match, there is something appealing about the conflict of the two opposites
Nikolas had placed griffins in the corner, with a row of praetorians and archers next to them. Don't remember about glories. I normally avoid placing griffins near the marksmen as diving would leave a gap and I'd rather not have to wait for the dive either. I did not camp and moved forward, I knew that nikolas is a camper himself
+1 dmg to marksmen makes 3-5 dmg into 3-6 whereas +1 att gives +2.5% of 3-5. That's a HUGE difference I think it's +1 to max dmg, if not it's even worse as it would make it into 4-6.
I indeed started with puppet on glories to blind crusaders. It was a bad idea actually, nikolas had not picked heroic charge and I already knew that his strategies typically revolve around the marksmen. But then my fireball seemed to do a lot of dmg, I did not expect reinforcements to bring so many(nor did I know he had the bow) and I did not in any way expect that my gate would be destroyed as it was. Believe it or not I gated cerberi as I only had lvl 1 gating. I had the typical spells, fireball, acid cloud, chain lightning, puppet, chain lightning.. Possibly terror but I forget.
Inferno always jumps to units within 2 tiles which can mess up your formations but it has a downside. It will not affect angels and can be prevented with the right formation and guardian angel.
