Few questions about modding
I'm realy short time here, and with help of other members I have learn many usefull things about modding.
And I'm sorry I have few questions more
Heres few of them:
1.How to script monster in MapEditor
2.How to script in map properties in MapEditor
3.I have saw on some maps rain effect.I were realy confused, can someone tell me how to get that effect? Is that effect from some skybox or what?
4.Some simple(if is possible)tutorial for creature and hero making.I have readed many of them, tried to work like that, but I don't get results.
5.How to make new faction(with replacing or not)
Once more, sorry.I asking to much questions.

I make maps in H5 but I don't mod or script, so I can't answer your questions but I will give you some links so you can find your way.
First off I'm told that scripting is in Lua.

Go here to CH for a "fan-made Scripting guide" ver. 2.01
2.01
Here are 3 more modding links from fans

I've read the veteran scripters suggest to newcomers that "they should look at their maps to learn". Search the following link for "TotE maps" from Vlaad, Fuir, Pitsu, Rdeford and Franzy to name a few in no order. They all did lots of scripting.

The next link is for original maps from Ubi/Nival to do the same.

Hope that helps. Good luck

Forgot this question;
I assume you mean when playing the map "it's raining" That is a file selection that can be chosen in the map's propeties drop-down. It is in the 1st line for ambient light. My map-guide has the required file-name. Let me know if you need help in changing.
If you meant a raining "Effect" on an object and not the skydome, that would be a modder's created object.

Also concerning scripting, I remember reading about the need to "activate the console"; I've seen a stickied thread w/ instructions @ CH. I "think" it saves time in testing your scripts.
One last thing; with 3 releases and patches of H5, <imo> you should make sure to be working only with instructions that deal with TotE 3.1.
Your welcome and good luck

ok, I tried with the "ambient light" when I have choosed that,I get black skydome with no terrain(actualy black sky with no terrain)where I could put objects. Is that normal or what?
And btw:
3.I have saw on some maps rain effect.I were realy confused, can someone tell me how to get that effect? Is that effect from some skybox or what?
5.How to make new faction(with replacing or not)
two questions left
