Chewy's post made me remember something. Thoses were the years when D&D players were devil worshippers or sociopaths! Made me proud to play D&D

I adored the My Little Pony and Care Bears films... Class!! I also attend 80's nite at the local club religiously... and who remembers school discos?  Where it was 25p for a 'Panda' shandy and you used to pretend to be drunk?  And all the boys were made to sing Chesney Hawkes (He sung 'One And Only') for all you young 'uns...) and all the girls had to sing to Bryan Adams?
And we had 'Rainbow' with Zippy, Bungle, George (the campest hippo EVER!) and Geoffrey?  And Rod (lol!!), Jane and Freddy?

Those were the days...

Transformers disturb me however, as my ex became, um, more 'excited' by the sight of Optimus Prime than by me... (this is true!!)

I also threw She-Rah away as I wanted her panther.. and made Barbie fight Hulk Hogan (oops, forgot him..)

Barbie fighting Hulk Hogan?????? That's highly unfair....Poor Hulk must've taken a sound beating....i mean, hoe can you hit a girl with a giraffe's neck?

Music

hehe Bryan Adams...i remember that "Everything i do" got played every time we had a disco with our class, and i always asked the prettiest girls to dance then because that song was so long lol.

I had that song as my favourite for a while too, other songs i really remember is "Wind of Change" (Scorpions), "Annies Song" (John Denver) but i guess i remember them most because of our music classes, we all got the chance to pick a song that we had sung before at class and have the whole class sing it again. I think we were 23 in our class and 14 or something choosed Annies song and 7-8 choosed wind of change

My favourite music groups at early 90īs was scorpions. After that i really liked Guns N Roses and i still do btw, they have some immortal songs to bad they did quit making music because they really rocked!

Hehe i guess i can write much more about this but this will be enuf for now.

No boys ever asked me to dance at school disco because
1) they were scared of me and
2) I was a very, very ugly child..

Great thread! Let me guess who rated it 'average' lol

A few remarks...

-You played with "My Little Ponies."
No I didn't! My sister did - and listened to the audio cassettes. Having only one room for both of us, I had to listen to them too.. and still know the theme song, lol

-You know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby".
-You remember M.C. Hammer.
No and yes. I didn't like both at their time. Funny is that I like Ice Ice Baby today

-You remember when Amiga was a state of the art video game system.
Yes, but I never had one. Some friends had tho. I got my C64, see the Retro thread for details, lol.

-Big wheels and BMX's were the way to go.
Of course I had a BMX bike. First thing I did with it was drive down a steep downhill passage which I didn't dare to take with a normal bike. One hour later I found myself at the doctor...

-Kylie and Jason
Neighbours sucked

-You actually thought "Dirty Dancing" was a REALLY good film.
No, but I was forced to watch it to keep up with daily talk

-You recorded songs off the radio with your boom box.
Hell, yeah! I waited for certain songs and recorded them, trying to avoid the moderator's voice. I still have these cassettes, but don't listen to them anymore, because I napstered most of them on CD now

-You remember Now compilations that had the pig on the front cover.
Even as a Non-British person, I own some Now compilations

-TV cartoons/series
I never got into the He-Man stuff. I like A-Team and Knight Rider for a short time tho

Does anyone remember the 3??? (written by Hitchcock) audio cassettes?

A-Team

Now that was the show of the 80's...

My school dances in Junior High always involved Heavy Metal songs and Breakdancing.....bigtime 80's....

How about Duran Duran or Flock of Seagulls with that big hair....

Heh... I guess we're not late on everything. We have X-Files too! And it's not brand new an' all. I've seen my first episode about 4 years ago.
