The best XL Heroes 3 maps - for long epic hot seats :-)
Hi!
After some 10 years of newer heroes versions, i got Heroes 3 downloaded from GOG and hooked up with a friend for some hot seat gaming.
Back in the days we loved playing huge maps, with lots of things to do. My favorite was Vanadias Ruler i remember.
Can you guys help me out with some tips for big, entertaining multiplayer maps? I searched celestialheavens, but the rating doesnt really guarantee much (as i found out yesterday testing).
Any tips greatly appreciated!

Some of my favourite XL maps are: Myth and Legend, Thousand Islands, Old World, Middle-Earth, Pandora's Box, Warmongers, Ultima, Race for Ardintinny, Back for Revenge, Heroic, and Vanadia SOD which may be the one you mentioned.
Note: I haven't played hot seat so I don't know which of these would be suitable.

While we're at it, is/was there by any chance a map that's, in essence, an XL version of "Good to Go"?
(why they called it "Planned War" in the Polish version is beyond me, but hey, Rampart is apparently called Bastion, and Tower is Fortress - and Fortress is Citadel, so I don't really care).
Good to Go was a good map for quick hotseats, but it's just too small for one's regular tastes.

One of the best maps well really the best for me is "wayfarer" made by a chinease player. Unfortunatly i can not read the text but the map is mind blowing since day one. Please if anyone know maps as difficult as this one please please share it with me.

Please try my map: " Grims Broken Compass "
It has lots of variety, bosses, custom heroes, it has an functional shop were you can buy everything from spells to secondary skills, it is Hard and well balanced and still every team plays differently and feels strong in its own way. It has lore which is pretty fun. I love this map and I update it often.
