@Dagoth, trying to understand this thread is like trying to have a polite argument in the OSM. My advice is that you don't dwell in these murky waters...
@Stevie, that was actually the original title of this thread. Go figure

I've been brainwashing myself into hating her again. Though there's still a long way to go, I guess I'm making progress as I seldom think of her now.
Giving her fake, negative traits seems to be working so far
EDIT:
AAAAAND it's not working anymore. Back to square one, I guess.

**** me for being such a lazy fatass. If I had not been passing up opportunities in my life, I would've gotten far. No doubt I would've become a better man and a better person in general.
This year I'm turning seventeen! FRICKIN SEVENTEEN!! Got a couple of goods years left before I end up scrounging trash cans and junk for food to feed my dirty, unemployed ass, and I'm not doing anything to prevent that.
Yeah, that's my problem - I'm lazy and I can't stop procrastinating. I can see myself wasting the winter break on laying in bed and not doing anything productive during the day, while at night I would stare at the ceiling and think about another day I've wasted.
Ugh, I'm sick of myself.

Doing nothing is a default losing situation. Quit trying to be immortal and flawless and just act. Do what you want to do. Introspection is the killer of action. You just need something to break out. Connecting with people usually is a good catalyst for doing things.

Babysteps. Write down one small thing you need to do every day, then do it. Start small and work toward doing bigger chores as time passes. If you expect to go straight from laying in bed every day, to full time job and/or school then you will probably overdo it and end up back in square one. And if you feel everything is hopeless and nothing can every change, then you should consider the fact that you might be suffering from some degree of depression (I've been there).

First time we see eachother in a year, she calls me and I reply with "**** off!"
Old habbits die hard, I guess. Also, I think I just made one of the biggest mistakes of my life

They will legalize it just like they did with gay marriage.
And, yes, she. The poems in the poetry thread - about her.
Part 1 of the story. Things eventually cooled down, but then it hit me again in late September last year. Still thinking about her.

Dude, man the snow up and tell that girl how you feel. Do it. Or you'll live to regret it for the rest of your life. There's no advice to compensate for your lack of balls. And I don't want to hear no crybaby excuses. You will go there, be assertive and get the girl. If you fail, you'll drink it over with your buddies.

It's just to complicated to be tackled with the famous "man up, do it" thing.
This goes wayyyy back.
And me just saying "**** off!" without even looking at her after that surely doesn't help.
Yeah, yeah, I get it - "stop being a crybaby". This is stronger than me, something I can't handle simply. At least writing about it here and sharing it with you guys is making it somewhat easier. Bear with me, please.

No. The only thing sharing this with us achieved is make you even more complacent. You don't have the right mentality approaching this. If you're uneasy, then plan ahead. Call her and tell her you're sorry for that reaction you had, she'll feel you value her opinion of you. Then get out with her under the excuse of catching up on things. And then seize the opportunity to confess. It's literally that easy.

I appreciate that you think I can do it, however, as I said, it's complicated. Heck, I don't even know if she's on good terms with me because all we ever did back in the day was fight whenever we had a chance. And every time I thought we were finally over that, we'd start fighting again.
It's like a neverending cycle.
Also, I don't have her number, and I am not going to raise any suspicion about us by asking someone for it. I live in a small place where rumors spread like wildfire, and I don't want to end up as one of the guys they talk about in gossip stories. That's the last thing you want to happen in a place like this.
And may I add lack of self-confidence, good looks and amiability? Yes, yes I may.
