1: Skyline - David Lindgren
The weakest song if you ask me. He had a better song last year.
David Lindgren - Shout It Out - Melodifestivalen 2012 - HD
2: Heartbreak Hotel - Yohio
I hope this one wins. Crossdressers are fun and the history of these guys is fascinating as they are apparently quite succesful in Japan.
YOHIO - SKY LiMiT (MV)
Seremedy - NO ESCAPE
YOHIO - Our Story (OFFICIAL PV)
3: Copacabanana - Sean Banan
Banan means banana so you can guess how clownish this guy is. People(including me) like him but I did not like this one and his last Melody Festival song was much better and highly patriotic.
Sean Banan - Sean Den Förste Banan - Melodifestivalen 2012 - HD
4: En Riktig Jävla Schlager - Ravaillacs
This song is making a bit fun of the Melody Festival and the guys have a badass attitude. However as entertaining as the song is, it has no place in the final and it takes a swede to appreciate it.
5: Only The Dead Fish Follow The Stream - Louise Hoffsten
Not much to say about this one...
6: Falling - State Of Drama
Not much to say about this one...
7: Tell The World Im Here - Ulrik Munther
My third favorite. I do not really like this guy but this song is quite powerful and I believe that this one or #2 will win. It is a safe card and it would garantee a high place in Eurovision.
8: Bed on Fire - Ralf Gyllenhammar
My second favorite. I do not think it has much chance of winning but it is pretty badass and I think it would make a great James Bond themesong with a little tweaking.
9: You - Robin Stjernberg
The song itself is decent but the singer himself could be better. This song and #10 came to the final through the second chance. Meaning that they were voted as the best of the losers and stand no chance of winning.
10: Begging - Anton Ewald
I suspect that John Travolta from Grease raped Justin Bieber who gave birth to this guy. Decent song and dance moves but stand no chance for the same reason as #9.

I think this should be changed to a general Eurovision 2013 thread and moved to the Tavern. I think Ralf's entry is the one that really, really stands out. I hope he gets to reprsent us in our great, brand new national arena in our capital city of Stock.... wait, in a small, old arena in the socialist garbage pile of a city that is Malmö. -.-

Tonight's the Night!
So I made an inventory of the Quality Points in the entries.
1. Ulrik Munther - Tell the world I'm here
A strong opening with loads of hooks and great production. Great! On the negative side it's a bit too polished and calculated - it wants to win too much.
2. David Lindgren - Skyline
I think he has a good voice for this kind of music but the song is too repetitive. The show on stage helps him a lot. A potential winner if Shout It Out had been his song this year.
3. State of Drama - Falling
Not without qualities but we have all heard this song a hundred times by a hundred bands and solo artists.
With Robbie Williams or BSB for example it could probably have been a world wide hit.
4. Anton Ewald - Begging
This guy needs the choir or it would be totally quiet during the most interesting dancing moves (such as somersaults). But unlike Michael Jackson he has no style when making the "frontal grip". It's just bad. Will get the girls' votes.
Bonus information: Song writer Malmberg Hård af Segerstad has a sister who has been working at my mother's office. The sister thinks that Robin Stjernberg has a better song.
5. Lousie Hoffsten - Only the dead fish follow the stream
This one has potential but you can't build a whole song on just one sentence. A half dead fish? She has made so many better songs.
6. Ralf Gyllenhammar - Bed on fire
Melodifestivalen certainly NEEDS more rock. But sadly Ralf's singing doesn't come up to the expectations, especially in the important first verse before the band and fire joins him.
7. Ravaillacz - En riktig jävla schlager
The time when the old mens' mafia were quality has passed.
8. Sean Banan - Copacabanana
This one has no qualities and will not even qualify to become a member of the old mens' mafia in the future.
9. Robin Stjernberg - You
Tonight this is the song that's most difficult to sing and Robin is definatley doing a great job, hitting every note with perfect pitch again and again. On stage however he's a bit stiff especially when compared to Lindgren and Ewald. I like this more and more for every time I hear it.
10. Yohio - Heartbreak Hotel
Yohio is definately the coolest guy in the competition and comes with a high quality Bon Jovi song. And that's my only objection: someone who is so unique should be able have a more unique song.
Who is the winner? I hope it's Yohio or Robin. But it's difficult to predict since so many of the artists aim for the same audience. Perhaps those international juries will determine the winner. It will certainly nevertheless be a great TV show from our new national arena in our capital city of Stockholm Solna. But it's good that the international show will take place in a real city such as my hometown. Go Malmö!

I read today that he had voice problems yesterday but I hope he will perform well and that he gets that first part better like you mentioned.

Some sister he got there.

From what I have read, it seems like Yohio has a good chance of winning which I have been hoping since I first heard of him. The two second chance guys seems to both have a surprisingly high chance ut they along with other songs will steal a lot of votes from each others while unique songs like Yohio's and Ralf's got more secure votes. Anyway, tonight will be a great final like last year as there are so many good songs with good chances in eurovision.
I will facepalm myself to death though if somehow Ravaillacz get to represent Sweden on hometurf...

God damnit!!!
I have probably never been so disappointed with a Melodifestivalen Final! While my dad hated Robin's song, I found it alright but I can never comprehend how it got the second most votes from the swedes! It is all the fault of those blasted foreign votes that Yohio did not win and now we got a mediocre song for Eurovision at hometurf when we should have something special. Me and my dad got so angry that our dog made himself as adorable as possible to calm us down. I am not sure wether I should burn the swedish flag for voting too much on Robin (not his fault, he just happened to be in the way of better songs) or voting for SD next election as revenge against those foreign votes that ruined everything. Well, at least Robin looked very happy...
Now I am going to blow of some steam and take out my frustration on others in War of the Roses...
Fun fact: Ralf Gyllenhammar grew up in my neighbourhood in the town of Mölnlycke.

Robin's total confusion was amazing.
Robin's song gets better and better every time I hear it and it has had a lot of screen time in andra chansen so it's logical it got a lot of swedish votes. A lot of interesting stuff happens in it, very dynamic.
But I agree it would be more right if Yohio had been the official winner. Last time something like this happened Charlotte Perelli won over Sanna Nielsen's Empty Room which was a catastrophe. The way I see it we have two winners, Yohio and Robin. I voted for both of them so I'm happy whoever which one of them comes to Malmö.
The Yohio scandal is very much like when we sent The Ark, they got a lot of points in Melodifestivalen and got loads of new fans with The Worrying Kind. And then they lost in Eurovison because the rest of Europe doesn't understand Ola Salo and the androgynic style. It's easy to forget how tolerant Sweden actually is.

UGH i wanted to make the eurovision 2013 thread.
I actually watched it live (and the clusterF Romanian finale which just ended) with great interest so this is my ranking
1. Bed On Fire - Holy crap this was INTENSE. So tragically robbed
2. Heartbreak Hotel - lol so hard @ this living Final Fantasy character. it was a good song too < ROBBED again.
3. You - Adorable sexually ambiguous metrosexuals <3 all things considered i'm glad this won. it's actually rly good.
4. Only Dead Fish Follow the Stream - Representing breasts and estrogen in the finale <3 finishing fourth in the televote <33333. MOUTH ORGANS <3333333
5. Falling - A bit generic but generic male-fronted rock is something I actually... nearly always like, so :3
6. THE OLD FARTS - they were hilarious really. Getting more votes than Falling and Skyline combined <3
7. Tell the World I'm here - I don't get the love, honestly. I thought it was *BORING*. :-/
8. Begging - Justin Bieber meets Eric Saade... pass.
9. Skyline - David Lindgren is an awful tryhard douche and his music sux
10. Copacabanana - My initial thought was that this one might be funny... and then it not only *wasn't* funny but also CRINGE-INDUCINGLY embarassing. It's a Atrocious. He probably smells rotten too. Should've finished last

More comments
Today I have my computer started so I can make a bit more specific comments.
I forgot to point it out last night, but if you need an oracle I see things before they happen: Quote: Who is the winner? I hope it's Yohio or Robin. But it's difficult to predict since so many of the artists aim for the same audience. Perhaps those international juries will determine the winner.
The YOU-HIO scandal
Yesterday I wrote: "The Yohio scandal is very much like when we sent The Ark, they got a lot of points in Melodifestivalen and got loads of new fans with The Worrying Kind. And then they lost in Eurovison because the rest of Europe doesn't understand Ola Salo and the androgynic style. It's easy to forget how tolerant Sweden actually is."
I might add that outside Sweden they don't know the STORY about Yohio (or The Ark). We can appreciate his fascination of Japan and his devotion to learn to play guitar as his guitar heroes and to learn japanese etc. He's big in Japan. That's cool. Take that away and you only have a guy in weird clothes with a Bon Jovi song, which is good but not exactly as modern as Yohio is.
@GunFred
Quote: Me and my dad got so angry that our dog made himself as adorable as possible to calm us down.
Poor dog. I'm just curious of "the other side", what is big problems with Robin's song according to your dad?
About Ralf's voiceQuote: I read today that he had voice problems yesterday but I hope he will perform well and that he gets that first part better like you mentioned.
I think he did a better job than ever with intro in the final. INTENSE is a good description of the performance.
Quote: Fun fact: Ralf Gyllenhammar grew up in my neighbourhood in the town of Mölnlycke.
I heard that yesterday was a great personal victory for Ralf. His foster dad thought being a musician was to waste your life, not worth trying. The chance to be a real artist performing on TV - i.e. being acceptable - was to small.
@Lexxan
I like your voting, you're welcome to the Belgian jury of Melodifestivalen next year.
Quote: Justin Bieber meets Eric Saade... pass.
So true. No matter how popular they are I'm allergic.

My dad thought of Robin's song as simply nothing and very lame. He could not comprehend at all why it got so many votes. I found it decent and he sang better after his first time but it should never have been allowed to get into the top 3 if you ask me.
And do not worry about the dog. The adorable little snow is a hypocrit. When we act strange or get angry in front of the TV or something, he gets to involve himself and make us calm down. But when HE gets angry, he can bark as much as he want without any care what we want him to do. I also used the chance and cuddled him while he was extra cute.

In some ways I can understand the nothingness of "You". First times I heard it I thought it was not bad but that it was "overloaded" with wailing, effects and such, making it a bit difficult for me to understand the song, how it fit together. It took some time to process.
The song IS a mess but after a while I began to like it.
I've had two dogs and I recognize the situation. I miss that. They're such clowns, doing all they can to cheer up the pack!

What the snow, who the hell watches Eurovison? And seriously, a thread just for the sweedish?
Its just a balkanized competition show made to cater to the degraded mentality that where you are born makes you special...or destroying the beauty of music by nationalism and fag worship.

I made this thread because the glorious Kingdom of Sweden is hosting Eurovision and I wanted to show the possible representatives because we had many good ones.
Eurovision may be about competing nations but it is rather about internationalism/euroism than nationalism. Unlike football, it actually makes nations come together and there are usually several good songs that are results of Eurovision.
The swedish "Melodifestivalen" which this thread is all about has a huge gay stamp on it but in a good way since it is possibly the largest tradition in Sweden. Last year they even had a middle act where they sang "Not just the gays party" and this year showed how incredibly tolerant the swedish people is considering all the votes that Yohio got and the fact that this gay stamped music festival is such huge tradition says a lot.

There are surprisingly many Swedes at this forum.
The gays may be the fanatics we hear and see but hundreds of thousands ordinary families watch every weekly part of the competition here.
The voting itself has some nationalist aspects but a good song will find listeners everywhere while a good football team only gets celebrated at home.

Yeah, if Melodifestivalen was in the US, 150 million people would have watched it. Half our population watches it.
I also think it's the opposite of nationalism. Sure, sometimes countries vote exclusively for each other but we have had Eurovision in just as many western european countries as east europea countries. What Euroviion is really about is countries coming together to celebrate something that is shared between all people on the planet: music.
