Well, you can't win them all. Nergal is especially strong against the likes of my Kelthor rush-ish deck and fails miserably against some Spelthor decks I've seen for example. You just have to evolve your deck and find the right balance to win more matches than you lose in order to progress  This could be problematic at 1300-1400 though since you are often matched against lower ELO opponents so wins don't get you many points but losses hit your ELO hard.

HOLY FREAKING S**T!
Just opened my first Herald of the Void Box.
1. pack, Adar-Malik.
2. pack, Zardoc
3. pack, Forbidden flame
4. pack, nothing special
5. pack, Untamed Wraith, Decay Spitter, Skeleton Archer
6. pack, Untamed Wraith, Skeleton Archer
7. pack, Seria's Last Order
8. pack, Soul-Consuming Lich
9. pack, nothing special
10. pack, Living Nightmare
Those are just the cards that I am really excited about, I got a ton more goodies for other factions, like 3x Hellfire Slave, 3x Griffin Marksman, 3x Griffin Mounted Spearman, 3x Chosen of Elrath, 2x Kabuki Tei, 2x Unmei-Kami, 2x Blackskull Centaur, 3x Stream Singer, 2x Chaos Lacerator, and Magic Peddler.
Damn, I am happy.

Let me share a few new tactics I've seen since last time...
The first one involves pumping Namtaru Channelers with ongoing spells like weakness, mass regeneration and the like (Ariana). It doesn't work well against most decks but it can be devastating.
Then we have another Necro tactic with Fleshbane and returning Ghost Dragons from the graveyard to your hand and the battlefield. I'm not sure how good it is, but it sure is interesting. It goes something like this:

3 options for that, Walls, Yukis, or Pearls. Walls clog up the melee line, and I'd need to drop some early troops for them, and the other two cost too damn much for this deck. Also, You don't want to special too often, as the maxout is high.
EDIT: Splurged my stashings on 12 packs today(1 box+ 2 single)... I wanted 2 specific uncommons, with a further 2 I hoped I'd get.
Result: 140 pit fodder cards, 4 good but unusable in the foreseeable future.

Yeah I get what you're saying. To keep things in perspective Ive only been playing for just over a week, and casually at that. Right now around 700 ELO and my deck has only one orange card (Chaos Imp), so I just need more firepower to burn down Nergal decks. Or better control, basically whichever option comes first as I add better cards. I guess

Necro always had a lot of diversity, a lot more than other factions in my opinion.
About Ghost Dragon deck, I would probably go with Adar-Malik instead of Flashbane because of "Never-ending Atropos" strategy. Ghost Dragons are great creatures already, 1 more HP doesn't really add that much, and neither does 1 more starting Might when you don't have a lot of creatures to begin with in my opinion.
In the beginning of the DoC, I used strategy with Seria's Legion and Altar of Asha. I would discard Ghost Dragon from the hand with the event, then I would resurrect it with the Seria's Legion even though my stats are 3/0/4, and with Seria's Legion, my second Ghost Dragon comes to my hand. I again use discard on him, and then I use Altar of Asha, sacrifice something cheap like Ghoul or Ghost, and resurrect that one too. In the end, I have 2 Ghost Dragons with Might on 3 and Fortune on 4.
I won that way against a Stronghold that got me on 2 HP, and he had 20 HP. I think that he was in awe when he saw those 2 Ghost Dragons, he just didn't have the answer to them.

Yes, this could be really annoying. You can lose the progress you've made for several hours in just a few minuites. On the other hand, 1500 is not that far away from you. You can do it!

Finally got a chance to play against an ADAR MALIK, wraith bomb!!!
I always wanted to see my deck from the other side
And luckey, I was playing MY Adar malik. I'm happy to say that my version of this deck was victorious.
But it was a lot of fun. We had different aproaches (Greater fire elemental vs Moonsilk spider for just one of them)
Nothing like Void wraiths going boom all over the board.
Anyboy would like to see the replay?

The older ones are not working.
Only those made after the patch, and you need to shut the game down. run the file, then login, and after all this you get to see the replay.
