Ouch, I keep forgeting he's got Water + Air, not Light. My bad. Thanks for the deck!
I'm inclined to include some Griffin Marksmen and Wind Gusts + Lightnings but I'm still working on the right amount of cards... Also, I see this deck being vulnerable to mass earth and fire removals, so the Moonsoons are a great touch!

adair malik
hi guys,
ive been coming across the adair malik 6 1 4 build quite a lot now, none of my decks, even the op nerg is standing up to his ability to recycle creature, specifically spiders and banshees and atropos.
basically after resource lvl 6 [realistically 10 for atropos] he has an endless supply of creatures.
my nerg deck plays much like a rush deck, creature based and even with the early onslaught, adair makes it through - any suggestions?
how do you stop unlimited spider, banshee, atropos??????

You don't with the Nergal, he is pretty much a hard counter to Nergal or any rush deck for that matter.
Are you really sure that he plays 6-1-4 and not 6-4-1? Seems really strange that he is playing 4 on Fortunes because Adar-Malik has like one of the best Spell Schools out there. I am playing him currently 4-6-1, and I miss a ton of good cards(don't have Atropos, that is pretty much a key to that deck, has only 1 Decay Spitter and didn't put any Banshee in the deck, but I have 1 Puppet, 2 Armageddon, 1 Forbidden Flame, 4 Soulreavers and 1 Shadow Image), and I still wreck Nergal even without those cards.
I played against Nergal that had Decay Spitters, Atropos, Banshees and Vampire Lords in the Swiss tourney Finals, and I was left with ~4HP, and there wasn't much that he could do then. I was blocking all his creatures, killed stronger creatures with Soulreaver, used Shadow Image on his Atropos and resurrected my Creatures with that Image, Puppet on his Vampire Lord, and was constantly resurrecting my Archliches with my special. In the end, I just planted 3x Greater Fire Elemental and used Forbidden Flame/Armageddon for easy win.
Only thing I can see how you could win(with solid hands from both of you) is to use a lot of Teleports, Town Portals and Insect Swarms, and rush him. Otherwise there really isn't much you could do. On MMDoC site, they are creating Adar-Malik decks that are called "Anti-Nergal", so go figure.

lol, shot he seems the perfect counter, the reason for 4 fortune is seria last order, just as devastating 
ps another day of swiss bugs and a sudden drop from 1300 - 1190 what a great game

Nergal has plenty of decks that counter him hard, you need a different build against those.

Those that you cannot skip the turn, so you have to surrender? Yup, they are quite annoying... It is stupid that you even lose a lot of exp like that...
Edit: Btw, yesterday for the first time I played against Dhamiria's Arbiter Lock with my Adar-Malik in the Jackpot, damn, what a deck. I mean, I had bad luck in the end, maybe I could even win with it, but I couldn't get my last Armageddon and I had like 9 cards left and with 3 HP, and he was on 8 HP. 
Still, Abyssal Lords and Hellfire Maniacs with Wrath of the Nature and Dhamiria's discard ability is just... scary.

Of course, he gets the cards from the graveyard, and you banish them out of it.
And btw, Elvin, what kind of Nergal deck is good counter to Adar-Malik?
Curious what would you play?

I am rather happy with the rare/epic restriction. Set restriction might be too much though, less combinations to enjoy.
