The SoD spoiler thread

I don't have the xpack? Could anyone tell me what happens in the story? Do Tuidhanna children appear? Any heroes from 5 Dungeon (other than Yrbeth, Eruina and Lethos of course)?

Well, you clearly didn't do your homeworks ! SoD's storyline is about Raelag who is Tuidhana's eldest son. There are also mentions of Menan and Sylsai in the storyline, but they are mere tavern heroes along with Eruina.
As for tavern heroes, there's a Kastore ! Other old figures : Lorelei, Sephinroth along with the 2 you quoted (Yrbeth and Lethos).

I like Eruina's and Yrbeth's pics. They look beautiful and haughty at the same time.
Of course, spending hundred years in underground is bad for everyone's beauty. Thus their transformation to HoMM V

As for a story - it takes place 100 years after H6 and is tied to Inferno campaign from H6.
Dark Elves are fighting with Dwarves and it's not going well. To survive, Menan wants to allied themselves with Sylvan Elves, while Sylsai wants to accept offer from Kha-Beleth and demons (which Raelag turned down).
Drunken Raelag with a huge headache has a "clever" idea for a third way: to transport back Invisible Library from Sheogh to Ygg-Chall.
And so it begins...
Second campaign starts after Raelag's adventures and is tied with Duel of Champions browser game + Necropolis campaign and Danse Macabre DLC from HoMM6.
Vein, one of Brotherhood of the Windswords, is loosing memories, while Sandro's disease attacks Namtarus and Necromancers (as all undead Vampire Lords drunk Mother Namtaru venom). Vein and new heroine Zakera are send by Anastasya to locate cure for disease while Heresh is attacked by princess Drew from Falcon Empire.

For being nigh immortal, they sure haven't aged gracefully (although I like Yrbeth's design in H5)

He does, he bascially looks like a bluer version of H2 Kastore, only with a slightly more benign expression and less WTF things going on in his face.

So, I am completely curious: how does the game portray Dwarves and Sylvan Elves without, you know, Dwarven and Sylvan units? Just mentioning them in the text?
Also, if vanilla H6 scenarios were in average 4 (in 1-10 range), how good is Shade's scenarios?

I knew that, I was talking about, well, the others. There was supposed to be a child per clan or something like that after all.

I finished map 3 of Vein's campaign and so far, I'd rate the campaign a good 7/10 so far (now I'm just hoping they won't waste it with a cheap ending ).
Now, if only they could stop with their cheap (and not funny) jokes attempts.

Hi I don't know where to post this, since this is my first post and I cant create a new thread, so I decided to ask here.
I just got HommVI a few days ago and I would like to know how did Crag Hack and Sandro and Lord Haart and others end up here in Ashan.
Is Erathia a continent and Ashan another continent on the same world? Or did Ubisoft just decided to include the old heroes in this universe because they were fan favourites? Is there an official explanation on this?

These are not the old heroes, just their Ashan version. Crag of the old universe for instance was never a barbarian-pirate with an eye patch. But this is not a new trend, NWC used to make characters with the same name long before ubi took over.

Yeah, it's something like CV Lords of Shadow for the example. The Ashan heroes names, personalities and roles are nods to the iterations of the previous universe, but they're different people altogehter

I don't feel like buying this shovelware, But I am curious about the stories of Raelag and Sandro.
Did someone already played through the campaign? What's the story so far? The schemes of Sandro, his success/failure, Raelag and the demons...

The ending of Raelag's campaign makes me wish the second campaign would have been about Inferno instead of Necropolis (again). Will we ever see Kiril again?

He was hardly my favourite character but I really liked it when he was transported along with the invisible library It felt good to have his side of the story and the ending was nicely executed. Didn't think he'd pull it off. In fact.. as a demon should Sarah's resurrection have worked? Or did she try something different given her ambiguous nature? The details escape me, it has been a while.

Raelag's campaign takes place 100 years after the events of H6. Dark elves have had long wars with their sylvan cousins and the dwarves and they are scattered. Raelag had sided with the demons at some point but realized what he was about to do and pulled out. He gave up the leadership and started drinking His advisor suggests one desperate plan for the dark elves to unite, summon the invisible library back from Sheogh - where Kiril had transported it in the end of his campaign. That library was the shared conscience of the faceless which greatly weakened them when it disappeared into Sheogh. Raelag then goes on a trial to earn the favour of the Malassa and the faceless help him reclaim the library. Of course the transported library is infested with demons and also Kiril inside it Aand there are also angels in the game that have their own crusade against Raelag after what he did to their leader, Erael. Eventually Raelag emerges victorious and he makes the library the cornerstone of his nation.
