Poll Question: [MAP] Jungle Fever
Jungle Fever
While uploading I managed to write the script for 2 new map objects:
one let`s you choose between 1 might power and 1 might defense and the other between 1 magic power and 1 magic defense. So when you read in video please read 6 new map objects.
Special thanks to Thanatoeil. Thanks again buddy and there is no need to help me with the last question I bothered you 'cause I managed to do it !

Very impressive work, it covers many of H6 shortcomings, adding a lot of content with enough replayability and an aggressive focus like the good old times on ToH

How long it would have taken to make this map?
And a silly question, where can i dowload your map? i would like to test it!
Another question: you say it's a multiplayer map, it is possible to play against the AI?

Thanks, Elvin, maybe that's why I'm satisfied with H6 every new version I make is harder 'cause we get better and I want to keep the TOH feeling.

I've been making it for 5 months at least. I've scrapped 3-4 different map layouts. I made my first version for about 30 hours maybe. But then when we started to play there were many things I didn't like so in the middle of our game I was already making the next version. Battle sites are my favourite creation and they had fixed strength till 2 versions ago. Then Thanatoeil unveiled the secrets of scripting to me and I thought that what if I make the path non-linear?! For example in Genesis it is linear 'cause the best path covers battle sites in this order - elem. conflux, treant thicket, mage vault etc. Now Battle sites have 3 strenghts and for example a full ore(easiest) = medium wood battle site(next in strenght). Ofc the best path on theory is to take one sector of the circle and then taking the next sector and the next and so on without skipping one sector. This is impossible in real game but you should try to skip sectors as little as possible. This creates very interesting map clearing possibilities. Maybe I shouldn't skip this sector I will beat the battle sites cause it is minimum but when this battle site is present champs are guarding(thanks Elvin) treasures... Oh fateweavers snow...add on top of that only one mana well visit per week and don't forget that u face 50-60 champs end of same week I think it is a very random map for week 2 at least.
Nothing for download yet! I want to make it different for P2 'cause now it is a plain mirror. And yes you can try it vs AI too. If I see more interest I will push it so that we release it earlier.

Nice presentation and must be in the end good map. Still have few questions, you know how much i love custom maps ...
Why Jungle Fever ? From presentation is more like Dungeon fever
In my opinion need more landscape details, it's a bit empty like many others custom maps. In terms of aesthetic view is closer to H5 Hour Glass map, it's not bad but too schematic to me. It's not world but schematic map. Good for play but not so good looking. Now your map, in my opinion, in terms of aesthetic is Jinxer Battlezone, but in final version i hope map will be closer to Jinxer Genesis. I think Genesis is one of few custom map that look decent in terms of aesthetics ....

Yes, Infi, it is plain ugly I take no offense. But every 2-3 versions I change not only guard strength but an island may appear/disappear so I got tired of moving aesthetics. In final version I will make it very beautiful I hope.
Jungle Fever , I take your remark now only week 1 is in the jungle. I hope u like the randomness in it

I wrote somewhere that I want to achieve the beauty from the campaigns. I won a prize that I had to choose between the 2 DLC and I chose Crag's to look for inspirations because it uses jungle palette.

Kudos for your work natalka, but I'll wait for what you can call the "final" version of the map. Firstly, I don't like beta versions, I like to play something that is "not in the making", but is a final product (that's why I don't try to get in any beta tests). Also, I understand that your map is the type of a "fun gameplay" map, where aesthetics are not so important, but I like polished maps, and most notably, ones that don't have too much of an empty space.
So good luck in your work, and when you finish, I can give you feedback then

I knew I should have written that it is ugly and will be fixed. I am perfectionist so every aspect is important. I tossed 3 map layouts which had aesthetics and beauty in them. And I tossed them after month of playing them. Just delete and make new. I think when we test and with the constant rearragement of things it is better to skip beauty for this part of the map life cycle. i can move things very fast but if trees or a waterfall have to be moved...
Final version will be goregous I hope.

New maps (and mapmakers) for Heroes 6 are so rare : so this is good news.

Maybe but it is not decorated and I doubt ubi will grasp the good things in it.

Those were the guards that you have to defeat day 7 week 2.
After defeating those guards everything seems like a breeze or is it...
Haven hero has to keep mana usage to minimum because there is no mana well in the centre and he already visited a mana well beginning of week 3. So every mana spent onwards means less mana for final battle. He had to spent mana killing 20-25 pit fiends, 20-25 fate weavers but taking the guards near the training centre costed no mana.
Dungeon hero has no problem with mana because she has Meditation but meets difficult guards at training centre - 24 phoenix. See how a blood hero defeats the immunte to blood spells phoenixes
Notice how celestials are much easier. Pit lords were by chance 18 % less. If they were 44, I think haven hero couldn`t pass and bear in mind he spent 100 mana out of 160.
Other such strong guards are necropolis ones.
One can beat that many Celestials, Kirins, Cyclops, Black Dragon but necro champions and pit lords give a headache.
I remember in Hourglass we restarted if guards were emeralds or titans.

I am very pleased to see the first map for multiplayer,...meaning Toh.
As soon as I can, will give it a try...dunno if thats working without Shades or another dlc from ubi; I didnt bought them as a result of what I think about ubi's effort regarding multiplayer portion of the game.
But I still believe, if they will continue to develope H6, I will do it, and may be we will see some revival in what toh is understandable!

I think it works with shades only now because I put dragon tope and training centre. But no other DLC needed though you can receive the artifacts from the DLC
