Although I don't visit it...
Celestial Heavens, maybe?
Also, Enroth is for SURE not going to happen, from a plot standpoint.
I mean, this planet got shredded into pieces, how's anything supposed to happen there?
So if we're really going to go with the original universe (that I'd myself like, but given Ubi it's not going to happen), it has to be Axeoth.

Yeah I know that it's difficult for Enroth to happen, but I put it anyway just to see how many people want it, since that is nevertheless an important indicator.
I have already created a topic for the survey on Ubisoft's forums and Celestial Heavens.
What are the most active forums here? Perhaps the Heroes III ones?

Library of Enlightment (so H3), and also Heroes VI.
To some extent also Altar of Wishes.
Heroes IV is definitely the least visited one, but I'm not going to blame anyone here, since not everyone has to enjoy Heroes IV (although I do, and I would even more if there was a mod that would let me play in higher resolutions).

Got my votes in. Personally would like to see something with H6 style units (so that tier system with a bit of choice... though a bit less tanky over all) with hero skills/ levels like in H5. I also happen to like the music in H5, but the H4 music is also superb... hard choosing between them.

A bit of choice? Maybe I missed something, but H6 only has the same number of units as in previous editions, and all are selectable. The only game which gave any such choice was H4, and that was because not all units could be selected at any one time.

Matt, there's an option in the survey that has H6 style unit divisions, but gives you a choice at each tier (4 cores/ elite, pick three of each, 2 champions pick one). It would be interesting, but incredibly hard to balance. So yes. H6 with choice

Meh, 3 tiers is just too few for my liking, I'd take 3-3-3-1/2 over 4-4-1/2 myself.

Also could be fun, though that would be more of a variant of the H4 style faction layout.

In my H7 vision I have a mix of H5, H6 and H4 lineups.
Core, Elite and Champion, 2 base units per tier, you can only build 1 Elite and one Champion unit per town, and you can choose one from 3 distinct upgrades per unit. (only one per town, unlike in H5 where you could upgrade and re-upgrade them freely).
Unusual, yes.
Hard to balance, probably. (I'm trying, but I also don't have stacks there, so it's a whole different level)
Fun, yes.

H6 with H4 does not equal fun. Not at all.
Yes, I did the survey.
And, was pleased to see most of my proposed features to add in the newest and upcoming MMH7. As long as you do not forget to add the RMG type of self editing of maps.
Having 2 types of Champion Units is, indeed, a good, refreshing, new approach to MMHeroes series. The most powerful Champion is the god-like one that can be purchased at enormous cost and can be purchased only at the Capitol town + stays there to permanently protect it from x number of possible invasions(Neutral stacks of wandering units might be tempted to conquer a defenseless town if, happens to be seen as been void of military units into the settlement). The lower type of Champion units can be carried away with the leading hero.
The hero that has learned expert logistics could then learn a totally new secondary skill called: Flight. Navigational secondary skills could affect further the skills of the hero at flight capabilities. Therefore, a hero experienced enough could mount a flying unit's creature and dump the walker type mount(horse, raptor, elephant) for a new flying creature that is not part of the fight in combat scenes.
Think of it, like this, a peasant being trained so much that at the end, it is the equivalent of a Praetorian(level 4 training that requires the training facility to do so). Peasant, pikeman, Halberdier, Praetorian. Same for the footman. Footman, Swordsman, Crusader, Legionnaire. Same for the archer. Archer, Longbowman, Crossbowman, Sniper.
Getting the picture as to how much more detailed this game could become? I truly hope so.
BTW: Once that new developer is accustomed to making very complex programming for this upcoming title, could work at fixing MMH4 in a way that, it could re-instate that game into all of our hearts has being a recuperable title that can get praises by all of us veterans of this great strategy series such as Might & Magic Heroes.
Good Day to all fans and designers alike!

Did the survey
I hope for more Ashan heroes games or expansion. I am old Heroes fan I played Heroes 2 and 3 the most but I sooooooooo prefer the Ubisoft approach to the series (all bugs aside!). I prefer the desert mages more than the icy genies (one of the reasons that I did not like to play as tower in Heroes III) I loved the Tower creatures so much but the town theme was not for me
I also was amazed how good was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, I know it was not a turn-based game but it was in the same universe and there was a map in heroes 5 in which you play as Sareth. I lost hope for sequel
Most people will not agree with me but I think the ubisoft story-telling and approach to the heroes series is amazing

The major problem I have with Ashan and Ubisoft continuity is the fact that Ashan and the related content is generic high-fantasy.
While it wasn't THE best, original universe was light-years ahead of Ashan, because it essentially wasn't a fantasy game, but a sci-fi game under a guise of fantasy.
Not THE most unique combination, but beats any high-fantasy universe you throw at it, including Ubisoft's Ashan.
(I mean, if I were to pick between demon-like aliens or just normal demons spawned by a dragon, I'd choose the former any day.)
And then I overdid it with giving dragon-people jetpacks and obsidian-creating-and-shooting rifles.

Also, H5 missed out on many of the side-stories that H3 got (Spoils of War and Seeds of Discontent in the original, everything but Armageddon's Blade in AB, and while all the SoD campaigns were sort of tied to the storyline, Elixer of Life and Birth of a Barbarian weren't tied very closely to it)

I'm replaying AB's campaigns and I must say that the quality of the storytelling and the text is very good and very entertaining to say the least.
The universe is more interesting in general because it's not about several dragons with followers as someone mentioned here. They leave lots of room for imagination and that is also inspired by the way the story is presented.
