I think that I discovered why it is not possible to install your mod. onto my...
current installation.
See...I do have the expansion maps onto my installation of Heroes II Gold. Which in turn is already at version 1.2. Example: Map Sorrow's End is already part of my game's expansion maps list of a huge library of already available pre-made maps.
My game was purchased through Gog.com's Gog Galaxy game client and, is already pre-configured to be launched through DosBox 0.74 + autoexecutes a set of settings to make the game run through the latest Windows O.S. of Windows 10(vanilla + 1511 + 1607 + 1703 versions). In other words, it is preferable to have this mod launchable through Win. 10 Home/Pro of the 4 available versions(equivalent of version 4.0 of Win 10).
Therefore, acquiring this Gog.com Edition of Heroes II Gold and find a way to replace the path of the original .exe by your new Ironfist.exe.
That is only a hunch on my part and do not have the proper knowledge + skill to do such complex tweakings.
Well...Good Luck in your endeavours at making your version 1.3.1 of your mod work for everyone!

personally I also got that bass.dll problem but I was able to solve it simply by downloading a bass.dll from the interweb and putting it in my Windows folder (no worries I checked that the bass.dll was legit first), it was as simple as that lol
then I could run the Ironfist no problem and dork around with the cyber creatures cheers lol

Just do not start all this Bass.dll false solution, ok?

That method has been done by myself and, leads to more error pop-ups, it simply does not want to be fully compatible with my O.S. of Windows 10 64bit Home Edition at version 1703 + way more updates and upgrades.

LucPatenaude,
Hello, my name is Matt, I'm one of the programmers for Project Ironfist. I was informed of this post by our team leader and I figured maybe you could use some help getting your game to work. However, I'll need you to explain a few things to me, specifically the part where you list the windows versions and then explain that "In other words, it is preferable to have this mod launchable through Win. 10 Home/Pro of the 4 available versions(equivalent of version 4.0 of Win 10)."
You mention replacing the original .exe with a new Ironfist.exe? Ironfist should not replace any files within HOMM2, especially not the exe. However, I feel I may be misunderstanding you, could you please elaborate?

Shocking! The Cyber Kobold Spearman
In their short time on Enroth , the Cyborgs have been busy turning the local creatures into an army. You’ve seen the Behemoth; now meet the Kobold.
Although individually weak, kobolds make an attractive addition to any army because of their loyalty and sheer speed of breeding. The Cyber Kobolds have been enhanced, with half of their cranium changed to metal and armor fused to their chest. Their strength has been enhanced, and tests show that, with a thrust of their spear, they can easily pierce a plate of steel. Within the hilt of their spear lies an energy source, which gives their spear a lightning that can strike two enemies in a row.
The Cyber Kobold Spearman. Coming soon to a Cyborg army near you!

I can't play in fullscreen on Project Ironfist, normal Heroes 2 from GOG works fine. I have Windows 10.
