A Fond Farewell
Last year my wife and I sold our business interests and retired. We've always planned on doing some extensive traveling after retirement. With the grandkids back in school now is the time to start.
We decided we're going spend some time traveling the US in a RV. We've always enjoyed camping but haven't done it much for a while. Later we'll travel abroad.
Anyways, guys and gals, thanks for all the discussions and debates over the years. I'll always have fond memories of the community but my path is taking me in a new direction.
Wishing you always...
Walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain
And tea beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire.

Retirement... that's a long way away.
Enjoy it. No more work. Now you get to collect things like Social Security and Medicare, the government's pilfered riches.
But seriously, it was nice having you here. I know we've disagreed a lot in the past (thought not as much as you and some other people here), you have a good sense of life, as is particularly shown in this post, which I come back and reread from time to time. From bits and pieces of your post, it seems you have an interesting life story - from poverty to successful business ownership, and now retirement.
HC will be quieter without you, with fewer religious debates. That's not a good thing - with your impressive knowledge of the Bible, you brought a lot to the table. There will be other Christians, of course, but I hope they're as well-versed in their Scripture as you are. You also have a good sense of humor - your excursions to the Wastelands were much welcomed.
Between running a business, church, playing games (you play a lot, probably more than I do), and arguing on the Internet - I don't know how you found the time to do all of it. But now you have more free time. Enjoy it. I wish you all the best.

Retirement just means more time for finding the flaws in opposing arguments in the OSM.
With your newly acquired +12 to all "hours a day to spend on debating" you now have an overpowering edge against all time handicapped opponents, make the best of it!
Come say hi to us in the other games exist too when you feel like it.
