Good combos of creatures for clearing map?
Hi, for all towns pls^^
i start with tower
nagas+6 djins=crazy, if you got lot of nagas maybe 2-3 nagastacks, but only if you need it(djins can cast antimagic i guess, so it would be a shame to do it in a mainbattle since you can make them immortal at no cost )
golems+gremlins
golems can tank a snowload of damage, while gremlin have a really high dmg/gold, also upped golems have a good speed, so you can travel ok
i suggest singlestacking the golems, since u want to block as much dmg as possible
titans+(arch)magi(+gargoyles)
gargoyles arent really needed, since both of the shooters have no meleepenalty, i think those 2 units are good at killing
singlestacking the titans might be temping, since they arent killed that easy+ if u have expert cure u can beat hoards and hoards of zombies etc^^
gargoyles alone
imo ahero that has high attack can use them, so u can clear the map and kill some of the weaker wandering monsters, since they are so fast having one stack and multiple with only 1 seems mandatory for blocking shooters
what u think of the other towns, i find the probelms with necros for example, that skeletons arent that great in siege, and since thats the mainarmy u cant really push right in the beginning(week3-4)

ok then i take castle, it has always atleast +1 morale (or 0 if u luck crack hag with it), since all knights(who are better then clerics for mapclearing) have leadership, only eception might be the +350 gold hero and the frostringwitch, prayerguy isnt that good in lowlvls(dont forget u need expert water for mass...)
so always take a hero with a creaturespecialty, or in case it doesnt fit in the very first levels tactics(the cavalierspecialist)
Orrin might be an option too, since 2 creatures are ranged, and both have good dmg.
Orrin+pikemen+archer(+monks)=nuff said
make stacks of 1 pikemen to guard your archers/block enemyshooters
make 2-3 stacks of archers if you can kill the enemy with it, or fear being blinded, also buy the frigging spellbook for cure
sorcha+swordsmen/crusader, here i would recommend equal stacks, since crusaders have a high enuff dmg and hp, only exception is vs a lot of ranged units, then u take 1 stack an 6 pikemen, cast stoneskin on the crusaders and block with pikemen(upgrade them so u can travel at modest speed)
the griffinguy+ griffins... they are good against most snow because the unlimited ret.(upgrade asap!) so just have 1 stack, or 2 vs shooters
just dont fight against vampires
the tacticsguy+cavaliers=very good for killing stuff, + u travel like a boss
always attack with the highest attackroute for justingbonus
some offenseguy+Angels/Archangels: first, u travel at lightningsped, second u should make equalstacks so u can revive urself
the monkguy isnt good for monks because he is a cleric(low atk), so u should do those monks on orrin
important upgrades: archer-marksmen=double the dmg
angel/archangel: superimportant, if you can, do it, but only if you cant buy anything else (remember 20k is alot of gold)
crusaderupgrade=see marksmen its very essential
griffinupgrade=semiimportant, i would make it before archangels
monks, cavaliers and halbediers upgrades are only for travelspeed, and caveliers can be upgraded in the stables on the map
So as we see, there are 5 groups of creatures: shooters(+pikemen) on orrin, griffins, cavaliers, crusaders, angels which all can clear the map seperately, it doesnt make much sense to mix for example AA with crusaders, since both units are really strong and u dont need to overkill, just to kill
also u shouldnt really mix AAs with anything else because of travelspeed (if you dont have a secondhero for the movementpointbug)
Also, if you have a meleecreature, cast stoneskin/shield on it, and in shooter vs shooter wars attack always the guys who havent shot yet(happens from time to time that enemy starts, then you, then his rest)
in shooter vs melee, attack simply the most threatening

With Rampart, it's pretty easy to clear a lot of lesser fights on the map with only centaurs and elves since they're fast, with elves shooting twice once upgraded (day 2). Using only these two creatures, you can clear full crypts, low imp caches, and even the lowest dwarven treasury (since you need crystals anyways).
Once you hit day 5, you can build your Unicorn Glade. A hero using only the 2 unicorns you get right away can clear lesser archer enemies with no losses. Once 2nd week comes, you'll have 6 unicorns total if you built Castle first week, allowing you to take on most archer enemies. Be sure to split them up to block archers or group them up to take out melee enemies. I just played a map where I was able to almost double my first week clearing by having my unicorns travel separately from my centaurs and elves. Of course you can always group them up as needed and doing so 2nd week means you can easily topple imp caches, dwarven treasuries, and medusa stores.
Finally, Rampart's Pegasi make for fast scouts, which allow you to clear more veil and decide where best to travel for even more map clearing.

a shame there is no centaurhero
they are just totlly crazy if splitted
which ramparthero you choose at the start?
kyrre is sweet as main, but for the start i think ivor or jenova are nice too!
and is the pegasiguy starting with pegasi?
also do u fill the open slots at the end with other units?
i mean dwarfes/droids and even grandelfes are kinda useless in big fights, either too slow or too weak in hp(my elves like dragons so much, they giv them a hug, and they kill my elves )

Yes,hugging dragons is dangerous buisness!
Well, you could try using droids wisely in big battles.
I mean for example if you try to destroy the most dangerous for you stack, you could hit it with centaurs and wait with the other stacks, until droids bind them and then attack it with your dragons/unicorns.
But I think if we talk about big battles, the map is cleared already before they start,so we would see no more combos of creatures, but whole armies.

Well Ivor gives you an advantage with elves up front while Kyrre really takes off in the long game. I tend to play large maps, so Kyrre would be a good choice. Still, I usually go for Ivor for the elves advantage and see if a decent main comes out of the tavern. One game, I got Gunnar in the tavern while enjoying Ivor's extra elves. I think he's slightly better than Kyrre.
I think Bron is the only hero that actually starts with 4th level creatures. I've never seen Aeris come with pegasi. He's a magic hero anyways, but he does make for a good scout.
I tend to not bother with dwarves and dendroids except for town defense. On my main, slots 6 and 7 are usually for wyverns and angels. I can usually start picking them up by week 3. Even played a game recently where a crystal deficiency barred me from building dragons by end of week 2. I was still able to start scoring some angels in week 3.

any combos for fortress?
i feel with fortress just gotta deal with what you got, also bron should be the man to choose, since he can have up to 7(!) basilisks at the start but besides that the huge woodneed makes this town unplayable on some maps
ok one endgamecombo might be 6 dragonfliestacks+hydra, preferable with resurraction, but i guess thats a well known combo
any other combos?

All I know is if the map has many high lvl creatures then what you do is save up 50 mighty gorgon's with armourer hero or gorgon hero and nobody can stand up against you. They're so op in dealing with them.
They can single-handlely take out Dragon Utopia's, or kill 5 Azure Dragon's (5k hp) in 1 blow.
Best unit in the game by far if map has many high level hp creatures.
My other fave combo.
Horned Demon Hero
Get Pit lords and keep summoning demons from dead stacks.

Not an expert on this, but you're going to need a good creeping hero and good creeping army: ranged units and high speed units are therefore essential.

I like fortress lizard warriors and draon fly's, decent speed, quickly build, low rescources on buildings. Split the dragons to weakness creatures and block shooters and kite slower creatures around while the lizards clear the rest. Combined ith an early ballista specialised hero this results in early clearing
