Your favourite video game weapons
List your favored killing tools and why you love them. Is it the satisfying sound, the special utility, the raw gore it delivers or something else that makes it appeal to you? Maybe it doesn't even kill people, which doesn't please Khorne in the slightest but who am I to judge? (judging you, hard)
Will start off with 2 favourites of mine.
Quake 2 - Super Shotgun
FHOOOOM! SHA-CHUCK! FHOOOOM!
There is something brutally honest about this weapon, it's simply 2 pipes sending shells of death pretty much all over the place, it even has a handy handle on the top so you can carry it around easily when you're not in the killing mood (NOT in killing mood? Weird I know, but I hear it happens to some people, sounds like mental illness.). It's a raw, no-fuzz decimator with extreeeemely satisfying sound effects.
F.E.A.R. - Armacham High Velocity Penetrator
It nails peoples to walls by launching 10mm flechettes into them, in slow-motion. The nice people at Armacham even installed a fancy display to let you know just how many sticks of death you have left without having to take your eyes off the killing. From the minute you pick this up and first fire it in F.E.A.R. you start laughing maniacally, guaranteed. Chugg chugg chugg, death death death.

My_the_only_weapon! My guy wants I play Quake 2. He gave me NetPack Extremities, The Reckoning and GroundZero, when he is clan plus can play all rpg. Yes I practice, but isn't enough then I got Doom 3 and I played the shotgun with so I got idea What? Mouse2 (push the left button) is jump. It has working on Quake 2 but Doom 3 was more handsome. Now I don't feel up to play Quake 2 and Doom 3. Yea long story Ok shotgun is my the only weapon!

If you can count it as a weapon: Activated Necron Monolith from Warhammer 40k Dawn of War... seeing it devastating enemy units in a green flurry of blasts was always making me smile 
Also the "Painkiller" weapon in the FPS with the same name.
Actually, there are dozens of other weapons I like in other games but those came to my mind first...

HELL YEAH!
Can't beat the double barrelled shotgun of kick-ass from Doom 2. That thing is a legend.
Though I have to say, Trip mines from duke nukem 3d were pretty hilarious in multi-player.
And mario kart redshell, that is such a legend.

I gotta +1 you there. The Penetrator was the best weapon in any shooter ever. I played through F.E.A.R. like a hundred times just to hear that baby sing.

Shogun 2, imported cannons, I manually controlled these beauties and watching cannons balls fly first person, hit the ground in-front of the enemy line, then bounce, oh god, so many limbs flying. I particularly enjoy he screams of agony, as the poor peeps try to cradle their missing body parts.
Microwave expander from Dukem Nukem 3d - it's art.
Though I haven't played it in years, I remember that I used to be in awe when I saw the purifying light of the redeemer in Unreal Tournament 2003.
My final weapon (for now) is the Sword of Hellfire from Heroes 3, just for the looks. <3

Heretic! I bet you liked Heretic more than Doom too, didn't you!
That gun in Doom 3 is just an overinflated plasmarifle from Unreal Tournament.
Common they basically copied the animation:

This, most likely:
From the moment when you acquire the beauty in question, the overall experience of the game changes from "prey" to "predator". Even when fighting predators. Plus, it has the nice feature of rotating without firing which feels like "nothing's happening yet but if I pull the trigger, you'll have a few dozens of holes all over your body in just one second."
Very shortly after that follows:
Both of them. Removing one removes half of the charm.  But admittedly they will never look better in anyone's hands than in Caleb's.

I should propably also mention shock rifle from UT2004, god I had so many killing sprees with that thing, admittedly not as many as the noob combo of rocket launcher plus frag but still, just pure fun.
And all of the weapons from any serious sam ever. Those games knew how to get them right.
Chainsaw from doom is also a classic. No better way to get rid of those pigs. :good
