Here's sth on the subject of Shaman archetypes:
I actually think Adapt is a better mechanic then Discover. My expieriences show that Kazakus is such a great card cause you know the choice pool so even if you won't get exactly the thing you want the most you can at least strategize which other potential effecta will benefit you. Dicover is still too random and I sometimes end up with a useless card, cause all three choices were useless atm...
But cool cards and all, I'm afraid that as always we will end up with only a small card pool being used. Hence Pirate Warrior.
EDIT: Nerf Patch is out. 1000 dust for nothing. Thx Blizz!

A 2/3 minion against their 2 attack weapon!

This weeks brawl is "fun". 5 games played. 1 game won.
I had three games as Don Han'cho, two as Kazakus and one as Jade.. Guess which deck I won with?! Jade is still the best, and this brawl proofs it.
Oh and I had a fun game where I evovled two minions into Tyrion. Two Tirions was just hilarious

All that hand buff stuff is fun, but it is no match against all that annoying pirat and jade meta. But maybe it will be a little slower now..

I saw the Doppelgangster + Evolve combo the first time today. Man, that is really unfair! Everyone of the three Doppelgangster counts as a five cost minion. So you are summoning 3 six cost minions with nine mana. That just isn't fair!

Unfair yet Evolve Shaman is as rare as seeing Pirate Warrior without Patches.
Here are some more cool combos: Evolve +Pantry Spider/+Big-Time Racketeer/+Nerubian Prophet.

@Blob you asked me about Don han coh and burnbristle. I can only say that Burnbristle is a solid and fantastic card. He is so versatile and good no matter what. You get a lot for the mana cost.
(don han'cho, I dont use. Too slow).
New story up on HS-website about the journey to Un'goro Choose your own adventure styled story.
EDIT:
I read a thread yesterday that was about reviewing the Year of the Kraken. I thought we could do the same.
So we had WotG, Karazhan and MsoG. There inbetween a lot of other buffs and nerfs, Heroic brawls, new heroes, cross over marketing..
I would like to say that I think the year started out just great. Old Gods was a great expansion that was pretty solid. It had a lot of different types of decks and the meta was varied imo.
Then came Karazhan and nothing happened. It was a status quo imo. It was boring and didn't add anything of value to the game.
Then came Gadgetzan, which before release had me pretty psyched. The idea of three arch-types was perfect. That it ended up being piratemeta was something no one saw coming and it ruined the meta.
All in all I think the year started at a solid 7/10 and it is now at a low about maybe what.. 2-4/10 ..
I really hope that year of the mammoth delivers and changes up the meta. I still like Team5 they are pretty awesome and does a lot for the game, and some of the things they have talked about I really like.

I actually have quite similiar thoughts on the Year of the Kraken as you Emil.
Old Gods was a solid expansion, it brought a lot of fun an interesting cards, most importantly it was nicely connected to the lore. There were some hit and misses: Yogg-Saron was crazy (before the nerf at least), Y'Shaarj on the other hand was boring (wasted potential), but he still found a palce in some decks.
Kharazan was the weakest Adventure so far. I still enjoyed it though, the magical theme had it's charm.
Gadgetzan had a nice start, I enjoyed a lot of varied decks. But at this point it's all Pirates, Jade and Reno and it's boring as hell. And on a personal note, maybe it's just a coincidence, but aside from those two good Legendaries that I had in packs, my card opening statistics area really weak when compared to WotoG for instance (I'm a collector first and foremost). Not to go into details too much let's just say when I finally get that last Legendary (33 pack and counting :/, and it wan't any better before I got the previous ones) I don't want to look on Gadgetzan packs ever again. Just to compare in WotoG I had like 1 L per 8 packs.
The year also saw quite a few nerfs and some nice additions (I really like the new dailies).
I'm really looking forward to Un'goro. I'm so into this theme, and from the looks of it this will be a blast. I mean how can dinosaurs not be a blast!

Umm, Whispers was the last expansion I played, I opened 60 packs there and didn't get a single legendary.
In fact during the close to three years of Hearthstone I played I got around 12 legendaries out of roughly 600 packs opened.

I've displayed the WotoG example just to show you how things have changed for me between those two expansions. And yeah that was a really lucky expansion for me, at least with Legendaries. Like I said I keep track of the openings since WotoG (but not from the start unfortunately) and it's pretty obvious when looking on both expansion charts I'm also tracking Classic packs but those are rather avarage openings.
Well what I'm simply saying is that I don't like opening Gadgetzan packs cause those openings are kinda cr@ppy in my case. It's not a rant, It's simply an impression I get...
BTW guys did you see the incoming price raise? F2P aside this will probably upset many players. Nobody is forcing you, but we know how this things tend to irritate some people... my hope is that they won't 'tweak' something with in game gold prices.

Haha, well if you say so. That might be true. Maybe I'm luckier then many guys. Like I said I'm simply comparing my Gadgetzan statistics to WotoG statistics.
At the end of the day, while I'm still missing quite a few Epics and Legendaries from Gadgetzan I'm happy with where I am atm with my collection. I'll have enough dust to craft at least four Legendaries from Un'goro when it hits.
EDIT: 36 packs of waiting for a Legendary just to get Raza who I crafted some time ago... yeah.

There are not many good legendaries this expansion had to offer though (raza, kazakus, aya blackpaw, patches I guess). I considered crafting patches even for non-aggro decks simply because it makes your deck smaller, but I don't wanna waste 1600 dust for a 1/1 minion .
My quick summary of Year of the kraken: This started with WOTOG which I really enjoyed, like now there were not many tier 1 decks and aggro shaman was king (doomhammer into 2x rockbiter). But this was a place where at least a lot of classes were played.
N'zoth pally
C'thun warrior/priest/druid
Aggro shaman
Call of the wild hunter
Miracle rogue
reno warlock.
Freeze mage
I think those were most played decks.
Then karazhan came....Which I missed because of my internship, I still bought it with gold when I came back (I just enjoy the adventures).
Mean Streets started off as a lot of fun in my opinion, everyone tried the 3 gangs, lots of diversity but as Always....the meta grows stale quickly, It would be great if nobody posted their 'netdecks' online so people still would experimentate theirselves (just my 2 cents). Now I only play ladder for quests but mostly arena (of which I didn't like the standerd change either)....a lot of dissapointments for me.
Oh, I would have loved to try the heroic tavern brawl in ANY meta different than this one, I refuse to run into a reno warlock, pirate warrior, miracle rogue, jade shaman/druid or dragon priest, sick of em!

WotoG was a pretty good meta actually. We should appreciate that more
Well I would also like to try HC-brawl one day, but I would fail horribly I think. Trump went all the way with a simple dragon priest.
Btw only 3 days to first card reveal for ungoro

Yeah I would fail as well If ear and at that high amount of gold at stake .
I think the timing is horrible anyway, It would be better to create such a brawl just after a new expansion so packs actually mean a lot to your collection.
I'm gonna say in advance, once un'goro hits I'm gonna miss Elise starseeker, Was such a fun niche card. I've seen plenty of reno's and brann's to agree that it's time for them to go, but I would like to see another meta where Elise sees play.
