Having his nose in books and scrolls most of the time had a disadvantage: Nathanial had never really developed a knack for noticing when things were out of place. He glanced around the cave anyway, deciding it could do no harm.
((Perception = 5))
Noticing nothing amiss ((*headdesk*)), Nathanial went over to assist Feather with the rope. ((What do I need to roll for Aid Another to pull Ciaren back up? Strength? Feel free to roll it for me if that will streamline matters gnomes)) If she turned down his assistance, he'd go stand by the Exquisitor to guard Vorbin's back until the others completed their task. ((Standing within grabbing distance of Vorbin.))

Feather made no objection to the assistance offered by Nathanial. She peered over, to see if Ciaran had obtained the scroll. Seeing that she had, Feather got ready to start helping to pull her up.

Ciaran holds on to the rope and the scroll for a while, throws her head back to enjoy the cool breeze. Thinks for a moment, which is a rare thing for Ciaran to do while on the job.
"Hey, guys, you think this cave may have another exit? Well, no matter, I have the scroll. It's a nice scroll, as far as pieces of paper can be nice. So just hold on while I hoist myself up, all roight?"
Ciaran sets to climbing back up.

As Vorbin mused, the wind continued to pick up, the rate increasing and making the climb up slightly more difficult for Ciaran... Though she is still able to make her way up with relative ease ((since she's apparently a frocking ninja in disguise... >.>) By the time she makes it back up the incline, that pleasant breeze had started to border storm winds, and it pushed ever so slightly on Feather and Ciaran.
At about this time, Vorbin would recall that it's actually impossible for air to go opposite directions in a cave system unless something changed, like a door opening or a face of the mountain collapsing and exposing more tunnels to the wind. Since the party hadn't been flattened by violent tremors, and none of the water had been disturbed before the wind began, you can rule out natural disaster or a secret passage opening up... Meaning that something else was acting on the wind here.
((To answer Kareeah's questions, the party is about 40' from the cave entrance and the small cliff lip at it. There are a few stalagmites and one stalactite in your path, but you could avoid that easily enough. Now then, as for new environmental factors, characters in light or no armor have their move speed reduced as if they were wearing medium armor, as the wind is becoming strong enough to actually push their lighter bodies back slightly.))

"Well done, Ciaran", said Vorbrin without any apparent praise in his voice "This scroll may have some information about this place. As for another exit, it would explain the inward flow of the air, but not its sudden change of direction. We should stay alert, there is something unnatural about the wind's behavior."
He reaches out his hand to Ciaran.
"Now, let me see that scroll, so that we could learn from it."
((If given the scroll, Vorbrin casts Read Magic on it.))

Nathanial frowned as he was buffeted by increasingly strong winds. It was rude to interrupt a superior, but it was also his duty to see to the Exquisitor's safety, and to a lesser extent that of the rest of his compatriots—he would be remiss in them if he allowed them to endanger themselves without cause.
"Exquisitor, I believe it would be wise to exit the cave system. ((RIGHT NOW.)) It occurs to me our deceased adversary had no reason to deposit us in a place of safety, and I believe we are triggering some sort of trap with our continued presence here!" This last came out as almost a shout, not due to any particular emotion but simply to be heard over the rising wind.

Without waiting for the others, Feather started heading to the cave's exit once again, dragging the rope along.
"I agree with Nathanial about that! I believe the trap master landed us in another trap!"
Once Feather reached the cave's exit, she almost jumped down, but decided it might be better to set the rope down, and have the others toss an end down to her. If she took the one end down, all the rest may follow.
"I will be waiting down below for the rest of you!" Feather called back to the others, dropping the rope to the cave floor. She then jumped down.

As Ciaran got up nimbly and handed the scroll over to Vorbrin, she was curious as to why the rest of the group was panicking so much. Once she saw Feather diving down, she picked up the rope. "Anyone wanting to climb down right now, go ahead.", she said with a smile on her face.

Vorbrin held the glowing scroll in his hand. As he looked at it, he felt an urge to open it, although considering his professional lust for information, there was nothing strange about it. Still, he made a mental note to himself to inspect the scroll before he opens it. What was important right now was not to let the group separate. Not in such unfamiliar territory.
"I do not detect any particular traps, even though the breeze does feel odd. Still, if it will help put your minds at ease, we will exit the cave first and examine the scroll later. Come, Nathaniel, Ciaran, let us catch up to Feather."

Feather makes it out alright, and even has a decent view of the surrounding country side should she look out. apparently, the group had been dropped off on top of a mountain chain, and the cool, thin air and lack of large vegetation gives her an indication that they are very, very far from sea level. the burds she had seen before had left, and the wind, while not as strong, continued to rush past Feather from all directions, funneling into the cave above her. As well, the ground below her feet is trembling slightly, shaking the elf on her feet.
The three still in the cave make it to the edge, though now the wind is starting to approach gale force levels and still rising. Ciaran, light as she is, would have to struggle to keep from being pushed back the way she came, while Vorbin and Nathaniel would have to dig in thier feet and slide down the rope with a bit more grit than they might have expected.
((Gonna need some acrobatics checks from everyone. Feather to keep from stumbling, Nathaniel and Vorbin to scale the rope without falling and Ciaran to brace herself against one of the stalagmites. I'll tell you tge Dc's this time; Feather: 15, Nathaniel/ Vorbin: 13, Ciaran: 20))

The barbershop quartet manages to succeed... to varying degrees. Ciaran is the most successful, grabbing a stalagmite with one hand to stop herelf from moving even an inch, while still holding the rope in the other like a bamf. Unfortunately, the fact that she kept hold of the rope might be a moot point, but hey... at least it helped Nathaniel a little.
As for Nathaniel, he managed to use the rope well enough. The paladin slowed his fall enough that, when he landed on the shuddering ground butt-first, only his dignity was harmed. And then there was Vorbin... the dwarf has reached for the rope, tripped over his own beard and tumbled head over heals before landing on his head. It was hillarious. And obviously painful. But he's a dwarf, he should be fine (besides the light concussion and possibility of minor brain damage).
Finally, Feather manages to keep from falling on her side as the mountain peak and cave beside her slowly start to rise up. A solid slab of granite and gemstones almost levitates up, a line through the center of it parting to reveal that perhaps the top of the mountain wasn't actually a part of the mountain. As it starts to draw away, Feather would see that there was a sister cave next to the one that Ciaran was currently being drawn away in, and on reflection of recent revelations, the caves were actually parts of a nose.
As for the recent revelations, well... the line in the rock had opened up to reveal some rather large, shockingly white teeth, and a relatively serpentine tongue curled up in a bit of a yawn. The head was attached to a rather long neck, and that neck to a body that literally seemed to be a rising mountain almost half a mile off. Finally, that body was attached to an absolutely abominable pair of draconic wings, and that was the final hint that anyone would need... they had teleported into an ancient, ancient dragon's nose while it was sleeping. Not... the normal place one expects to find themselves after teleporting, but better than a few alternatives, I suppose. It did not seem to be aware of the party at the moment, or even Ciaran in its nose. Instead, it seemed to be content to finishing its yawn in peace...
((Ciaran, gonna need a str check to keep a hold of them rocks of yours. Don't worry, you will be out soon... As for everyone else, to id the type of dragon roll either Knowledge: Arcane or Knowledge: The Planes.))

Feather, barely managing to stay standing, watches as Vorbin collides with the ground. It takes her a bit to be able to regain her mobility, but once able she runs over to him, kneeling at his side.
"Are you alright? Alive, at least? We may have an issue," she says looking back up to the dragon.

((ROFL DRAGON! XD

Nathanial watched in horror as the Exquisitor tumbled head-over-heels past him and impacted the ground skull-first.
The Paladin scrambled the rest of the way down the rope so hastily he almost lost his grip and landed on his armored derriere instead of his feet. But he got to those momentarily, limping over to the dwarf as speedily as he could manage. He was examining the extent of the Exquisitor's injuries when the "cave" started rising up into the air.

Vorbrin stands up unsteadily, searching for something to lean. Amazingly enough, his face manages to remain unfazed - masks are useful like that.
He glances at Feather and tries to make connection between her moving lips and the sounds that reach his humming head. He fails. But he does notice her stare and looks in the same direction. The sight of a moving dragon-like mountain does nothing to reassure him of his mental recovery. Finally, he manages to convince himself that what he's seeing is real and tries to identify it.

While the other two are looking at the dragon, or looking for some random thing that may help, Feather looks around for where a good place to run might be. Whether it's a place to just hide for a few seconds while another place of cover is looked for, or some path to make a quick getaway, it doesn't matter. Just some other place than here.
