The community is still alive

Last week I teamed up with one of the great Latvians who was visiting Norway. The friendly Elephant, Zilonite. We had a good time, and I am THIS close to talking him into fetching his sword and armour from the closet and give it a good shine. Last months Strider, Kispagat and myself have had a few great heroes V games between us. Less time than before, wifes, kids, you name it - but at least as much fun.

Not sure if i get the picture up here, if i do, here it is:

Zilo vs Fraudatio

Well, i didnt, now did i. Well, if anyone knows how to get it from my computer to this page; give me a hand.

Good to hear you had real life meeting with Heroes! Best part about on-line play is when you have chance to meet other ppl RL.

Im sure community is still alive but we all become older and have less time + h6 failed for Multi-play part. Heroes kingdom develop failed terrible too from turn game to "pay for win" and after UBI loss his player base shut down game soon.

Well, I was exaggerating a bit of course just to get some attention, it is really just some of us hooking up again. Yes, we have all grown older (and nicer) and have less time than before, but there are some hours here and there. H6 was a bitter disappointment, but H5 is still a thrill. Good to hear from you again Elit!

Well, now that I have broken the post-things-code, I will post an epic battle I had with Strider this morning. This was really something from two rusty old heroes. Map was Forgotten Kindoms. Blind (at least in new times). Normal style. A fun, non-symmetric map, mayde by the map hero Fiur, where dead ends, frustration and joyous surprises goes hand in hand. All of a sudden, week 4, i found myself in a position where i could defeat some 20 seraphs to enter into Striders land. I was only lvl 18, and not really ready for battle. Extremely low SP. But Strider was already capturing armor of forgotten in the middle, so there was no time to waste. He had huge issues getting light, but managed in the end. Right, one, two, film!

Replay - Maeva (Strider) vs Yrwanna (Fred)

Strider could win it easily because if he had surrendered when you had all your army dead, you would have lost your hero and he would have had his hero in the tavern with brutes (I'm not sure if I used the 3rd conditional correctly but I hope I did ). Even if he retreated it would be better for him than losing, I guess.

In the past I played HoMM5 campaign on Heroic and that was the time when I decided to never underestimate Marksmen comparing them to Crossbowmen.

I posted two replays (if I remember correctly) where there's shown what they can do They're edited for the 'movie mode' so watching them in the 'replay edition' mode is recommended.

I had the shackles on. The map was big fun with very unexpected development. Fraudatio played very well and we were clearing middle from each side when he suddenly got through the teleport near my castle. Was huge effort for me to get home with half of army and i just had to use shackles or else i wouldn't withstand the next encounter.

But in general we enjoy playing each game on a different map. It's almost like blind as the last time we explored them was some 5-6 years ago. Huge fun

And Fraudatio is so good i feel rust just peeling of me Likewise i feel in games with Kispagat, DrOwnage and LordMichal I suggest you, guys, try it out

Ah, nice to see heroes players still hooking up.  Reminds me of the good old days of homm3 when I'd have players from all over come by and play hot seat at my house.  One game was with 6 players and it lasted two days...

I haven't played any heroes related game since Heroes Kingdoms announced its shutdown -- and heroes online seems to be in limbo...

It made me realize that I need to start working on my own turn based strategy game... which I am now.

Real sensation ! Veteran of multiplayer, organizer of never die "Tournament of Honor", coupled with resources Vesuvius have, starting work on turn based strategy game ... I think chances to succeed are hi, at least worth to try. Good luck to you ! Vesuvius can you give us more details on that, or is too early for details ?

Keep working on Zilo, so that he starts the fun again.
