Hows things?
Hey guys,
It's amazing to come on these boards after so many years and find things still moving and ToH still going!
How is heroes 7 going? I've currently got h3, 5, 6 on my system, havn't looked at 7 yet. Is there a good online community still?
I'm thinking of getting into some online homm again.

I don't think we spoke before but welcome back.
H7 isn't that great but at least multiplayer works currently. It's a decent game i'd say (others think it's bad likely).
You should try the Heroes 3 fanbased HOTA content though

Well, now it may even be decent. But during the release, it just was not. Hopefully that Trial of Fire expansion could expand some things.

Hey destro, good to see you. H7 is alright but it lacks the H5 replayability and balance is messy, in both creatures and spells. AI is terrible but you are probably not very concerned about that

Frankly you might as well play a game like Age of Wonders III, I still get that heroesy kick out of it and it's a great game.

I'm soon going to announce a game I've been working on, for the past year, releasing beta in December (I hope).

(that's why I've been relatively quiet in the homm circles.
The game is a turn based strategy tactical combat game with inspiration from heroes, as well as other games.

Wow! Hi Destro... And Vesuvius!! Wow... I miss a lot of the old players!! I still play homm 3 every now and then! 4 just turned me off the series all together! Glad to see ToH is still around though!

It is great to see old names. Some of the best days of my online gaming life were spent in looooooooooooong hours of 2v2 homm3 games.
Recently I've been playing a ton of League of Legends, World of Warcraft (thought I've pretty much quit both of those) and Magic the Gathering online, I play pretty high level competitive magic.
I signed up for the beta and notifications for spacewars Ves! I'd love to play a turn based space game. Had great fun with one called Planetia or Planetaria or something similar a while back, browser based text game more or less.

Me and Strider have played Heroes V online up untill this very spring. Currently having a break. Heroes VII was a huge let down, but i havent really given it a chance online. Now i see expansion on the way, will have to check out the multiplayerfunctionality there then,,

In complete agreement, there is more heroes feel in AoW than in recent homm titles IMHO, and battles are epic!
