NCF Megapack always crashes to desktop.
Hello my friends, how are you ?
I have a problem: when I go to load a game with the NCF Megapack installed, the HoMM5 crash to desktop.
You know why is that? since the mod I love, I love, but I can not play it, took 2 days looking for a solution but I can not find it.
I thank you for your time.
And I hope to find the desired solution.
Greetings from Argentina.
PS: sorry for my English

Have you tried to start a new map? Either campaign, scenario or multi. Opening old saves with new mods can cause some problems.

Yes, always starts a new map.
The map's size is "impossible" (320).
I install HoMM5, hammer of fate and tribes of the east with all patches up to 3.01.
I do not have any other mod, only NCF MEGAPACK.
Can you help me ?
This happens when I start a new game.
THANKS A LOT!
PD: in single player (scenario)

Win7? RU playing offline? I had a lot of crashes until I disconnected and I can only guess it was program-communication that conflicted with the game. i.e. Win update-activity, spyware etc. Also, you do have to watch memory, I've had auto-save crashes with my largest maps + big mods, like the PRT. I have 6MB

Hello Markkur, how are you ?
I answer your question.
I have Avira antivirus, I do not know if that's what crashes my game.
The crashes occur when I load an savegame that had previously saved. (ALWAYS start new games)
I have 2 GB of RAM. That is why?
Ahhhh and play a bigger map (impossible (320))
Thank you very much for your answer!
PD: i have windows xp (i hate win 7)... i play offline (scenario)... I go to single player ===> custom game

Well, if you disable and play offline and still crash it would be memory. Btw, I would not stop after one crash, see if it continues.

<imo> Under the best circumstances the game was not good with saves. Even today, if I want to reload a save I exit the game first before restarting, like I think you said you do.
<imo>More RAM would help though. I also keep my temp-folders empty = no huge pile of cookies.

Me too to some degree. I miss the true ownership of Win98 where it didn't take major activity to prevent major activity.
Good luck

Have you installed the NCF framework? You need a dedicated exe for that.
If you have, do individual NCFs work (just a few installed separately w/o using the megapack)?
