I just started it. It's fun, aside from some little annoying things like trying to drop an item on a pressure plate. That's hard. Still only got the 2 main heroes so far, I'm planning on playing a full thieves guild, because, well, when everyone is invisible, enemies don't do anything, so I just position myself behind all enemies, skip 2-3 turns for full action points and bam ; the stabbing madness commences.
Maybe I'll give all my heroes the invisibility spell so they can go invis with the spell, get in position, skip 3 turns, stab the hell out of everybody, go invisible with the thief skill, position and wait, stab again, then haste and finish the rest.
I think another powerful build would be 2 lone wolves with zombie perk ; one an earth mage with the aoe poison to heal them and the other one something just to dps and kill everything.

Level 2, DMG output: 210(crushing), AP cost 2 per strike. Melee-ish range though

I finished the game in January. Original game, I mean, not EE. Lots of fun I had. But beware players! This game is pretty merciless, and will kick your ass if you have no wits.

Gave up after 3-4 hours in, total boredom for me. I dislike the games type Baldur's gate where you roam for hours and picking items you have no idea what they serve for. + the interface is really awkward, not possible to scroll screens using mouse, the zoom off is too close too, I would prefer a zoom where you can see much larger area so you know where you go.

You can scroll by using arrow keys. And I also recommend to map camera rotation to right mouse button.

yes I put the camera rotation to right button but I have only one button. So a bit tedious, unless I buy a super mouse which also cooks pizzas.

I often dislike games like Baldur's Gate too but Original Sin surprised me, and I am having a lot of fun with it. Also why does everyone say the inventory system is so bad it is not the best system but I have not been frustrated with it?

Like 80% of the game is inventory management. It gets tedious.

The best inventory system I have ever seen is introduced in Neverwinter Nights. It was so much fun to reshuffle your inventory It was just like a game within the game, and it was far from boring.

@Sal: Well is true the start is a little harsh with the stupid murder but hold on it gets interesting fast enough imo, although yes there is big exploration part and you have to complete side quests. It seems like there is a lot at first but the maps aren't that big and once you get comfortable it shouldn't bother much.
@Poly: I don't spend that much time into inventory, but yes probably the weak point of the game, maybe I am a little biased to be too much annoyed since I really enjoy A LOT the universe, exploration and battles...

Oh come on my three buttons with a wheel mouse costed me around 10 euros.

But I barely spend any time in my inventory.
There is a lot to pick up sure, but the inventory even has little organizing tags so I don't really see the problem. Guess it's just me though as it looks like most people, here anyway, dislike it.

I don't know if anyone lost Astarte while confronting Void Dragon but... ROFL
Edit: So first playthrough finally completed, had a great time. Don't know when I'll start second but this time I'll try to do the quests in the right order.

Nah, Void Dragon was one of the easiest fights in the game, 1-turn-killed it. (lower resistances+soulsap with mage, then crushing fist battering ram, always confuse the two, damn + simple attacks+adrenaline+more attacks with fighter.)

Galaad, are you playing Enhanced Edition? If yes, can I ask for a late save, just to see the world, please?

Near the end of the game you can't travel through the world anymore and are stuck in last level, just checked if I hadn't override the few quicksaves before this point but turns out I did, will try to think of doing a custom next time.

I kept a bunch, scattered between exciting bossfights. Anx particular point in the story you wanna see? Even if I don't have a suitable save yet, i'm in the middle of a playthrough anyway, so I can make one easily.
