Tried it out, seems a fun throwback to the classic NES shooter games (Contra and Megaman series for the most part)
It is difficult, yes, but it's a good game, and the setting is pretty whacky.
The artstyle of the game being an interactive 30s cartoon is what it makes stand out.
I feel that playing it with a controller(On a PC) is a must, since the controls at least for me didn't felt so fluid while playing with a keyboard.

Funny, I just played through the first island today and I constantly felt like I would've been doing so much better on a keyboard. I very rarely use a pad though, so there's that.
The audiovisuals are awesome, the quips after you fail a level are clever, all around good fun ____________
