I noticed a Spider Goddess statue in one of the two Beta maps. It was the same as H6's Tear of Asha building. So yea, there is map decoration in the shape of stone statues.
I noticed in Sandro's second campaign level that on at least two islands there is a dead Sanctuary creature. Very little, almost unnoticeable detail, but funny once you discover it  . I like that kind of decoration, it makes exploring all the more fun.

That was agonizing to watch. It was like Blue's Clues for heroes. I will say though that one area that I think MMH7 excels in is the music.
As for the dragon, I think that either a statue or possibly a fairy dragon (lots of people asked on the SC for one) is most likely.

I'm not sure if someone answered this question before or not, but a few weeks before someone asked why Elves had in Heroes VII have black hair. The answer is simple but not that obvious - this is another element of Tolkien's influences in Ashanese Elves. In Silmarillion description of many Elves contain an information that they have noble black hair and that black hair is synonymous with being an Elf - human beings have mostly blonde hair but there are of course a few exceptions (like Aragorns ancestors, who also had black hair). I just hope I din't repeat anyone.

Just watched the Sylvan video...
I don't wanna be picky, but for a such a "demanding" game, graphics don't look that awe-inspiring. Adventure map looks empty and cheap, and textures are low quality... at least that's my impression for now. I wonder if it's a matter of map design or presentation as a whole...
And omg dat Ancient Behemoth nose!

I disagree for the most part. Yeah, several of them look a bit tacky, but some look like a significant improvement to me. Bone Dragon doesn't quite work, but Spectral Dragon looks great.
