Really sad about the cheting and really sad that shield was so low. The one with the least votes by far... really people?
I think it was a great chance to have an outstanding line up and bring back some classic feel to Ashan. Oh well, faces it is for me then.
Another vote lost for me. I certainly feel like I have no clue about the preferences of the Heroes community anymore, and I'm certainly not aligned with it.

So you want SM elves to take their place? Yes that is the perfect solution.

Really surprised how much cheated was involved there for Faces to go from eliminated to almost half of the votes. I'm happy as it was my favorite lineup and now it's pretty obvious it will win as I can't see many Shield voters going for Blade to be honest.
I loved Shield core creatures but I liked Faces overal more.
One thing I'd like, as I've seen sugested here before, is that if Faces wins, we get the lurker/evil eye as the faction ballista to keep more people happy.
If the strider proves to be cool (I like the fact that it's controlled by a Faceless so he doesn't risk himself, it reminds me to Mursaat and Jade Armors from Guild Wars 1) and the Assassin abilities are done well (I've said some times that I think it could be too OP or too bad) this could be a great lineup. Of course I'd prefer either the strike and return guy or the evil eye over Assassin, but I guess it's ok.

Judging from the past line-up votes the defensive line-up will always get the least votes. People just immediately think defensive=boring.
That's my biggest grief with these polls, it should be about creatures not play style and locking them into specific one. I think we would see quite different results if that was the case. Especially in the Sylvan one

Then why vote for Blade, it has Meatballs Spaghetti?
I voted Faces. The two times ._.

Disappointed about the loss of Shield , but still we must forge on.
Despite how I'd like a decent number of non-humanoid "beasts" in Dungeon, I have to side with Faces. Besides the general unit tactics, I think the Strider makes so much more sense than the Faceless, and the lack of beasts does make the army seem a lot more like, well, an army.

Darn, my favorite got dumped.
Well, Faces was my close second. Still don't like the idea of Naga being part of this, but if Sanctuary isn't actually part of this game eventually, I'd be okay with Medusas shacking up in Dungeon. I feel 2 archers is better than two strike-and-returns. Even more, I still dislike the idea of the Shadow Unicorn/Nightmare. There already is a Nightmare in Ashan, and that's in Inferno. I'd rather the corruption of the Unicorn (as that's what the Shadow Unicorn is) be part of the race that is literally supposed to be a mockery and corruption of creation, i.e. Inferno.
Even more, there's the Trogs, which can burrow. I really want to know how burrowing works, and I couldn't with Root Snakes not being a thing. With trogs, I'd finally get to see it in action, even if it is a "flyer" like teleportation is.

Not necessarily, could be that renegade elves that live underground is a new and exciting concept to some of them.

I really dislike how they made striders, I don't know why not bring a random abyssal creature or, at least, bring a living insectoid creature not one made of metal, could be a giant insectoid mutation or something like that.
As for Medusas, I would like them a little more beastly:

I agree completely and your argument is perfectly valid apart from the fact that in Faces, they instead chose to put in the construct. So basically, for me this is a vote between the Nightmare and the Strider, and while the Shadow Unicorn obviously needs a new name, I still prefer this creature by far over the construct.

Wow, I was already accepting the fact that Faces would go out, that The Purge (tm) would only cause a slight shift in the percentages. To see cheating on such a massive scale is appaling - and let's not forget, Faces probably had a number of cheat votes going for it as well, even more compounding the cheating of the other two lineups.
At the same note, if I had known that Shield was lagging so far behind Blades, with Faces a clear winner, I would have switched from Faces to Shield shortly before the vote closed, in hopes of nudging it just ahead. A pity that we have to say goodbye to Shield instead of Blades.
Oh well, I guess my number one of the three lineups will then have to avenge Shield and crush Blades. You know, kinda like an "In your faces!" moment .

Indeed. I really liked the artwork they showed but it still lacked a rougher approach. One doesn't move from sanctuary to a darker side and remain with such a nice skin

The whole point of the mythological Medusa is that she was indeed very pretty, but then cursed with snakes-for-hair and the fact that anyone who looked at her would be turned to stone. Beauty is part of her backstory.

Elves moved from Sylvan to a darker side and one could argue their skin is even nicer now!
