Lol, I'm realizing I haven't seen any movie with him as Batman. Was never much into the Justice League/Batman and Superman stuff, but now I want to give it a watch sometime.
By looking for him on google I bumped into an article where he has the benediction of Conroy, so I guess he shouldn't be bad.

the only movie i saw affleck as batman, was suicide squad. and i think you guys remember how much i detest that heaping pile of excrement. i can't see anyone else as batman, except for bateman.

Batfleck in dawn of justice is great, you may roll an eye here and there but it all makes sense and is backed up with good acting and proper physicality. That is one beast of a batman and he has long ran out of snow to give ^^ But in JLA his role suffers a bit. He throws one-liners, doesn't think things as thoroughly and when push comes to shove he just grabs a gun - where are the gadgets and the contingency plans? Maybe I've been spoiled by the animated series and films but it feels like the DCEU doesn't understand well batman's role in the justice league.

Actually the early Batman had a gun for a few issues.
TBH I'm really glad they dropped it and even made a point with him not using them.

It's not like he's normally carrying or using a gun during the movie. I know I'd pick one if I was in the midst of parademon baddies but.. he's the batman. He should not have been in this situation to begin with.

batman would get killed in a real-life situation, anyway. nobody ninja's a bullet, no matter how many cool toys they have in their toolbelt. conversely, the joker(the most realistic version being nolan's joker) would have just been killed by a family member or friend of one of his victims(or just anybody willing to), as well; so it's not like they're living in the realm of reality(yeah, i know, "duh, fred" ).
to me, guns and capes don't mix. the punisher was all about weapons, and he never had a cape. a trench coat, maybe, but never a cape. deadpool, too. but i guess you can't compare the three, since deadpool and the punisher are antiheroes, whereas batman is just a hero.
really, in a one-on-one match, deadpool would slaughter the joker, no question. maybe that's why they're not in the same universe; most characters from the marvel universe can kill the living snow out of those from the dc universe. superman may be the only anomaly, but i never followed dc comics, really(so i could be wrong). just some of the comics with the joker in them.

I agree with this. They apparently they made him different in Justice League because people didn't like him in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. But I for one liked him better in DoJ.
I'd still like to see solo Batman films with Affleck. One is in the works, but there are a lot of rumors about him being replaced.

Recently rewatched under the red hood, such good stuff. Which other films are considered high tier material?
Off the top of my mind I have watched..
Mask of the phantasm, excellent.
Dark knight returns, thank goodness for the adaptation because I hated the graphic novel art.
Batman beyond return of the joker, great.
The killing joke.
Batman year one, kind of okay.
Flashpoint paradox and a couple JLA movies.
Just realized, haven't seen a Bane storyline in animation? The events prior to Bane breaking bats(in every sense of the word) and his eventual comeback was a brilliant arc. Plus Azrael fun times.

I was never fond of the Batman Beyond series but Return of the Joker is a great OVA indeed.
There is a short backstory for Bane in TAS, but there is no more extended anime version focused on him that I know of. I think it's in the same episode there is a callback to the iconic break you line but this version doesn't go as in the comics, maybe because of the audience's age.

Batman's training explained in rl terms
An interesting analysis on how possible it is for someone to become like batman and how realistic his fictional preparation and skill acquisition is. I don't have a particular like towards the author but he has apparently done his homework

I had forgotten how awesome that novel was. Finally found some time to watch it and wasn't disappointed.
It's really great that we keep getting such quality Batman content throughout the years.
