This is why they should forgo artwork in the voting. This round is basically determined by a bunch of people voting on some preliminary concept art that they slapped on the website.

Aside from the poll's results. This was a total no brainer.
The first picture clearly shows a real underground's setting for an underworld bound settlement.
While the second one, clearly shows how the underground world of endless caverns, should be somewhat lighted by glowing energon looking crystals.

It's certainly not an accurate depiction. In voting for Crystals I imagined a return to the old Heroes 3 Dungeon environment, with a big cavernous underground, and not the stalactite environment as seen in Heroes 5.
Frankly it's a matter of taste. I would be pleased with either one if they're well made and not too monochromatic like the Heroes 6 one.

In any case it looks like blue is the new purple.

The hanging city underground doesn't make sense and probably takes back purple into the units.
I wished the other one had won, much better!

This. But Limbic has proven itself to be great so far regarding art direction, I think MMH7 has the potential of being the first good looking 3D Heroes game.

Altho I did vote for other one, I'm not dissapointed ... I agree with Galaad, in that so far as art direction goes, H7 looks great.
I also like this kind of voting where there are only 2 options - so you have clear winner - not situation where 40% or even less would win ...

Three way votes have a different system now. The least voted one is eliminated and the other two go to a revote. It's quite good actually, there's always a winner of over 50%, and it removes the swapping of votes so people can give their second favorite a chance to win.

I'll be sad when the voting stops and they finally release the game.
In many ways, waiting for games is more fun than playing them.
So many hopes, so many aspirations...

You should invite some of that drama over to the Heroes Community because I don't see it all that often.
