Buying Heroes4
Hi Guys...
I decided to post this topic, cuz, we heroes fans from europe will not have the chance to buy it when it is released. It will take some time, maybe months to get to our countries, not to mention my country where are no originals at all. I would really like to buy it as soon as possible. All i'm trying to say is that the fans from USA could help us a bit. I know there are some from USA in heroes community, so I'd like to hear from them in this thread.
What do u fans from Europe think about this........

yes i like your idea. i think that someone should help us. but how? i mean do we first pay them and then they send us the game or oppostie. either way someone could cheat and not send the thing he/she is supposed to send. anyway, if someone honest is ready to help i would be really happy

Look Matthy, the problem is ---> are they willing to help. If they help, I'm sure they will not do it just to take our money or something. The majority of US guys here are honorable, in fact they are moderators of this community except Valeriy. I will not even think about these incidents, cuz I'm sure they will not happen....

eh what are yous talking about??!!? just preorder the game from the company and you will get it as soon as its released! Its very simple just use a credit card.

What are you talking about, it is not as simple as you say. There are no credit cards at all in my country, nor there are originals. I'm not from scotland as you are... And it is not the same. If you guys dont like it this way, then fine. But I personally would like it the way I described, so anyone willing to help...

I think you can order it directly from 3DO when it's released. If you don't have a cradit card I hope for your sake that they got cash on delivery. I know I am gonna order from them if they got C.O.D.

My only origianl game is AOE, and I got it as a gift.
I really don't think it's worth spending 200 NIS (50$) on a game when I can either bur it for free or buy a pirate version for 70 NIS (17$), the only thing that sucks is that ofeten pirate CDs are russian versions and they suck since the tranlation is really bad and all the sounds are messed up, especially in Starcraft where humans had zerg sounds and Protoss sounded like something from another game, or just some random sounds.

well actually im glad that someone likes pirate cd-s too. I think i havent got none of originals... anyway, pirate homm3 costs like 5$ here...

though i aint european or american, i do get the original versions here in canada, and i agree with you all,i think u should be able to buy the original versions in europe, i dont think i can help u but maybe u should send 3do an email or a letter and explain to them all this

Guys, try not to pirate HOMM4. If they don't make a profit then they will not continue to make the updates.

Jarrett, thats what I was trying to say, if they make a great game, why not buy the original and pay to them. In this game we can expect other great games too. Soo, can you buy it for me the day it is released or the day you buy the game for yourself, I can send the money in advance if you wish too....

To copy or not to copy
Well, if we're gonna be sincere here, pirate versions are about 80% of all games in Spain. The only legal gamers seem to be those parents buying games for their young children in Christmas, although nowadays children prefer to get the CD copier as a gift and start their buccaneer profile so soon. Years ago pirate versions were many times the only way to get certain games, now that fact is totally false and most of the games appear in translated versions, except for expansions like "Armageddon's Blade", which I had to buy in Internet using a Master Card.
I've played pirate versions from more of a decade, but that's not the question. I was a student and my cash was definitely poor (is 0 poor?). The question is that now I'm a worker, and I pay a big part of my earnings in things I don't enjoy: taxes, house renting, etc. I feel good paying not so much for a game like HOMM4, a game which I know I will enjoy during years (and I know it right now).
I'm now playing AOE2, Need for Speed 2 and Unreal Tournament, but only because I'm getting tired from HOMM3 after thousands of playing time. Of course my salary is not enough to buy these games I will play a few weeks and later uninstall and forget, but HOMM4 doesn't fall into this category.
But I see the point of those of you living in "pirate territories". I don't know if HOMM4 will be released in Spain. If it does, I would anyway prefer to get a Master Card and purchase the english version in preorder version than getting a dubbed version (whose translation I usually don't like very much) A LOT OF MONTHS AFTER THE GAME RELEASE.
