AOH & HC Moving to a New Server
Due to the limited control and terrible communication (no responses at all) I've been experiencing with the current web host, I am going to be moving AOH and HC to a new server.
The new server will be a VPS (Virtual Private Server) as opposed to shared web hosting. This does mean more work for me in terms of server administration (including setting up database and web server software from scratch). However, I will have much greater control when it comes to optimization, diagnostic tools and upgrading system resources when needed.
I'm planning to move HC first, probably in the coming days. This will involve some interruptions. I will probably make the old HC "read-only" while the database transfer and DNS changeover are in progress, so be prepared to draft your replies in a text editor and post them once the new HC is available. Will update this post with more info closer to the time.

Might I suggest to give some advanced notification on that on the main page? Perhaps also as a banner on the site. This may avoid "unpleasant surprises"  .

Database move completed, DNS propagation is in progress.
If you are accessing the new HC using the temporary link posted on AOH, you won't be able to log in. If you can log in and post via heroescommuniy.com then it means that DNS has propagated for you.
The new server runs newer versions of PHP and MySQL software, which may break some functions. If something doesn't work, report it here and I will check it out.

None of the images on HC (avatars, stars, the Post Reply image, etc) load, except for the "Heroes Community" image in the header.

Strange, I can't reproduce this problem. Does anyone else experience it?
Also it looks like DNS propagated for you as you are logged in on the new HC - has the problem gone away for you now?
UPDATE: fixed logins on new server (including via temporary link).
I suggest saving all your messages in Notepad before you hit submit for the next couple of days, just in case.

That procedure seems to have gone well
However, I don't know if it's just me but there seems to be some problem with HCM : I tried to send a message, and it doesn't appear in outbox, I've done it twice, and have no clue if my message have reached its destination (twice) or not.

Just noticed it too - HCMs were not sending. Should be fixed now. Sadly whatever was not in your outbox was lost and needs to be re-sent.

The images problem seems to have been fixed, but now I'm seeing ads despite being an HC Supporter.

I tried to check my Ad preferences in the profile to see if they were reset during the move. They were not, but when I tried submitting the profile setting, the page showed an error and did not let me do this.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll get it fixed.
Btw, just implemented the RAM caching function and the index page generation time went from ~0.5 sec to 0.01 sec  HC is gonna be lightning 
EDIT: the ads displaying to supporters bug should be fixed now - let me know if not. There seems to be an issue with saving the member profiles - will have to look into it tomorrow.

Error has been encountered while processing this request. The input data might not have been valid.
Can't change what ads are displayed, but the current selection which is Community does work.

After sleeping on it I figured out the profile editing bug - should work now. If you've tried editing profile before and failed, it would have deleted your settings cookie (timezone, signature check, etc) - just go to profile, edit, save and your cookie will be created again.
Show polls is fixed now.
Reply not appearing in Last 10 Replies - can't reproduce the problem, but let me know if it happens again, and if you notice any pattern about it.
Looking at the statistics overnight the new server setup is working superbly - everything is so well optimized that the server load is close to zero. Will see again once AOH is moved, but I imagine there will be plenty of spare capacity to handle the future HOMM7 traffic at top speed.
