Champion creatures mmh7
I have asked in the official blog people about not a single game in this franchise having small and fearce champion creatures. All the games had big and moderate champion creatures, so I want to ask this community as well, would you enjoy seeing a small champion creature, but scary looking, like alucard and witch king? Something simple, elegant and fearce looking?

Haha, Alucard as Vampire choice for Necropolis? That'd be badass. Only one problem tho, he uses guns xd
I wouldn't mind small champions, just as long as design is good and justified.

Actually there were once small champion units in the older games, like the devils or crusaders.
I think small champions would be cool, but I doubt we'll get them considering that the swordmasters in H7 are big.

Compared to other creatures the devils were quite large :? What I am suggesting is a champion vampire alike from h6, they were small and badass. ;>

Well in terms of height yes.
I was talking about large as in "needs 4 squares/2 hexes to stand on"

I actually thought the Landsknecht was going to be one space, so that it could so what other, bigger creatures could not do: be nimble. Then it turned out, no, they are still large creatures.
I would like at least 1 small champion, but that is slowly becoming less likely. Haven and Academy seem dead set on large things, and I feel like the Treant/Both Dragons/ Hydra will be large. What's left is Necro and Stronghold, and I feel Stronghold really likes the "biggest and da strongest" kind of warfare. What would be left is Necro... and man I hope there is one. If they do pull through, and make, say, a Vampire champion, and make it 1 spaced, that would be glorious. But, I am doubting this.
This was the perfect time to do it, to. The whole "choose one of two champions" idea would have made a great choice: choose the large and powerful, defensive unit, or the champion that can ease through the cracks no matter how small? One powerful unit in the right place can offset whole strategies, and having the most powerful unit on your side be able to more easily position itself would have been a godsend.
In at least H1/2/3, your champs like the base Angel, the Paladin, the Devils, Titans, and whatnot: they were big in height, but were "small" units hex wise. WHy not have that here?
Further, I wish they used the squares allowed for better spacing. Look at the Dragons of old: they took up more than "just two hexes". They were such large pieces of art that they were surely imposing. Now, I'd reckon that only the H6 cyclops has the same bulk: he absolutely covers those 4 squares to which he is bound. I thought the SwordMaster would be the same, only completely filling one square, but instead he now just has some healthy room.
Look at the H6 wolves. One looked large for his square, the other was centered in 4. To me, the normal wolves looked imposing because they could swarm in the small spaces. The "large" wolves looked like they had social anxiety and didn't like to touch anyone. Not a good look.
I'd be down for a "small" Champ, and I'd also like the large champs to be LARGE, and not filling a requirement.

Never though about it,but you are right, a small champion creature would be agile, and would come great into their new flanking system, but it would also have to have its weaknesses, or it would be OP :?

In AoW2 you had Leprechaun as a champion. It was small and mobile, with ranged and spell attacks. Hard to hit, but fragile. I think such a champion is more "fun", but it's harder to balance compared to just increasing stats.
