It reminds me of HVI too much (visuals, area of control, creature tiers...), so I'm leaning towards the negative. But, I will give the game a chance after the release, as there are some elements that are promising.

I would have to say very positive so far - altho there is much more to be revealed. Atm I realy don't have mayor complaint at the direction this is going.
It promises us all good things from H6 (visuals, cover mechanics, area of control, creature tiers...), and all removes bad things (no magic guild, town conversation, endless town portals...)
To me it looks to be the game H6 should have been. And looking at Ubi comments and seeing the direction they are taking, to me, it seems that this, is exactley what they intend (almost every feature is like a fix for one of H6 blunders). And I'm fine with that.
Random skills are back, there will be more than 2 heroes per faction again, all important factions are represented from the get-go including sylvan and academy, which I missed in H6 the most, there will be normal weapon artifacts, and not dinasty weapons etc.

Positive considering Ubisoft is involved. But they still have to reveal so much that it doesn't really matter.

I am leaning toward positive
The general thought process of devs, their activity and communication with the community, overall makes me feel a lot positive about h7. Unlike h6 where most of the changes they wanted to implement I did not like from start, this one looks a ton better.

i like where they say they are going, of course that doesn't mean it's where they are going. Ubi has lied been terrible for far to much for me to completely get on board, however what they have showed is looking pretty nice. loving the (currently revealed) faction designs so far for example.

what i dont like:
-low number of towns(no inferno? no new town? wtf?)
-insists on using box grids.
-too much elven units.
-insist on 7 magic kind.
-bad townscreens.
-the terrible feature called "town level system", previously used for h5.
what i like:
-more detailed battle system.
-wolf theme haven idea.
-hero classes.
-adventure map.
-new adventure map mechanics.
-day/night/rain etc etc..
-looks like h6 art style with no over used color-code.
-alternate champion idea
-3 tier creature system.
-devs seem to care map editor-modding.
i was very positive before.. now i am not so positive.

Agreed with Cleglaw. No Inferno is unthinkable to me. Even not having Slyvan and Academy in VI felt weird to me, and those are two factions I almost never play with. Im generally sceptical around the idea that they didn't have enough resources to create at least one more additional faction. How much resources does it require anyway? Like this, we miss 3 factions which may or may not come in an expansion, and it doesn't needs to be necessarily one, but three, forcing us to buy all three to get all factions. Don't you dare Ubisoft.
Other than that, I dont have any other major complain. 2D hand drawn townscreens are so-so, but I guess it's understandable with the limited budget.
Not also keen on the fact we start with two elven factions as well.
As for positive, everything else. Haven looks epic, maybe the best haven we have seen so far. The idea to add female soldiers, giant dogs and a freaking space marine as a champion was definitely refreshing ( at least for haven )
So far it's positive, although we are yet to see Necropolis and Stronghold.

Overall I lean towards positive.
-I like that the skills are not as overdone as in H6
-Towns seem to have more variation in terms of colours
-Wolf-themed haven faction looks nice
-2 champion creatures is cool
-Most of the core towns are in the game
-multiple hero classes
-skillwheels return(?)
-Given infernos absence it looks like demons won't be such an important enemy again
What I don't like:
-Some creatures seem to lack in terms of abilities(while h6 had too many, this one seems to have not enough)
-No inferno(one of my favorite towns, despite the fact that I think they are almost always poorly done )
-I'm not happy with certain line-ups(sylvan has 3 elves)

The direction? I feel it's a side-step.
Ashan is entertaining enough in its own right, no doubt about that.
Hoever, ATM I feel to particular incentive to actually play it.

Voted: Leaning towards positive.
It really looks like it is going in the right direction but, will not be too too certain about how the gameplay will end-up when the official release of the game happens.
A good 5 months to go for it to hit the retail shelves and, the online Ubistore.

Leaning towards positive, so far. Some vote-decided aspects left me with a feeling of slight disappointment. On the other hand, leaving Inferno out is good for me personally, as are some other things devs have said will be implemented or have been showed to us. I'll surely play the game no matter what, but time will tell if and how much satisfied I am going to be with the final outcome. One thing critical for my final judjement will be the oncoming Necro presentation, for it is my No1 faction...

I'm still open-minded. Some things I like, some things I don't. But it's hard to say until I actually try many of the features.

Very positive. So far I really like what I'm seeing. We have yet to see how things will work out in-game, but I think they are most definitely headed in the right direction.
