Bounty Hunter

Remember Janice the Clerk from Town Hall in New Sorpigal?

Bounty Hunter (1.80 Mb)





Description: Every week, Janice the Clerk will ask you to defeat a particular monster. More groups of that monster you defeat that week, better the reward will be.

Rules:

Bounty Rewards for # groups killed

1: 1000 gold + 1000 gold for each game's week.  
2: Boots of Speed or Equestrian Gloves. If you hero has one, he will get the other one.  
3: 20 of each resource + 5 for each game's week.  
4: 5 experience levels for the active hero.
5: One of Angelic Alliance's artifacts that your hero doesn't have equipped.  
6: +5 to all primary skills for the active hero.
7: All level 1-4 spells to the active hero.
8: Statue of Legion.
9: Armageddon Blade.  
10+: The Grail

You can get your bounty any day. But if you forget to visit Janice until day 7, bounties will reset and you will lose your reward.

Emm, Might and magic The Mandate of Heaven is THE reference for MM world and Janice the Clerk is one of the first characters you meet in New Sorpigal as soon as the game starts, then she is the "bounty hunter" by excellence. So I can hardly see why this could disturb anyone, except if he/she never played MM6, but then is not my problem.



As for the pin up, combining fun with work is ok. If someone is offended or doesn't taste the humor, don't download, I will survive

MM6 is another game, Sal. (And no, I havent played it. ) The realistic graphics and all that comes with it doesnt blend in well with the H3 atmosphere, it feels eclectic.

And I didnt know this was "work" for you, I thought you were a pianist and this was your hobby.

Meh, I hate when OSM invites here with pointless reflections embroideries. Bounty hunter is a MM6 feature, it is connected graphically and mechanically to MM6, not to Heroes 3, to which is only adapted, I was clear in the title and it is my choice. Is a mini mod aiming to add a bit of salt to those boring random maps, offering existential dilemmas as "do I attack those goblins or these gnolls". And about work, I have fun when working seriously but I don't see how is on topic.

I welcome constructive comments, thus thanks revolut1oN. In MM6 killing a high level monster requires going in dangerous areas, in H3 is easy to get to it, therefore I opted for a variant: more kills = more rewards instead of mob's level. I will think if I can marry the two concepts.

Relax, Sal. All I indicated was that a more minimal bounty hunter mod without the MM6 theme could blend in better with H3 atmosphere. It is not exactly a "destructive" insult, is it! There's no need to go "this is my mod and I'll do what I want with it."

I think this is great.

Not only it fits, but we need more M&M 6-8 / RPG elements in WoG since ithas endless possibilities due to the ERM.

For example, the classic WOG Adventure Cave can show the Red Dwarf Mines(MM7) or Dark Dwar Compound(MM8) render while dialoguing.

And the other map locations can be made in a "Text RPG" style each showing an unique render/anim from M&M 6-8. Creature banks, for example, could be dungeons, and let's say, the Pyramid shows the Tomb of VARN render/anim.

Forgot to add that bounty hunter comes with modified map adventure pcx (both for vanilla and HD mod), offering 8 additional locations for new buttons. Mods as Conquistador were updated as well, to fit the new coordinates.

That's what i want for VCMI to be implemented - to have possibility to assign graphics file or video file to map object, that will be shown on visit.

of course not (do you think I lost my mind?))), there is the cprsmall.def (or whatever the name is) which changed items in the middle of poster. So poster remains, monster head only changes))

@Liso1, on your site: Super Strike mod, it is specified
