Hi,
iam playing HOMM3 Complete Edition and when i go to single scenario -> random maps -> show random maps, it is always empty, but i don't know why. I have tried everything but nothing works.
Install path is C:GOG GamesHeroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete
Added a random template (rmg.txt) to C:GOG GamesHeroes of Might and Magic 3 CompleteData
but when i want to generate ingame the list is still empty.
random_maps folder is empty.
File Version of Heroes3.exe is 4.0
OS is Windows 7 SP1 x64
Don't worry, thats how it should be. It is empty because you did not generate any random map yet.
its simple to generate random maps:
1-) open heroes
2-) go New game > single player (or multiplayer if you like)
3-) you see the "show available scenarios"? just under that you will see "Random map". exactly under it. Click that.
4-) chose whatever specification you like. You can now begin the game. The map will then be generated
5-) you can also go advance option like normal maps bfr you start
