There's also this guy, who has posted few playthroughs now and he took part in many tournaments back in the day and was one of the best players out there. He explains in-depth a lot of stuff that he's doing.

That's the first on his list and, let's convey, I can also say I am the best football player here in Portugal  but no, I am not Cristiano Ronaldo. Compare his gameplay to this https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4IgOhZ4UIP7PUvEEpQKj3Q and tell me where in the world could he be considered Top?

Besides that link from Maretti, I would like to add Richard Chen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPde8YiDdVE (he has his own oage here in HC - Small tricks against AI), The Silent https://www.youtube.com/user/silentplaygames and  Bogdan Sverediuk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndCpKWs3j0A to the list

There was Victor Bolzoni (the pacifist in HC), excellent player which made reviews for almost all good sod maps, back in time. Then he tried WoG too, so here some walkthroughs:

Atlantis game play

Atlantis battle

300 spartans battle vs champion

Alexander, battle vs king Porus

Yeah, great. I love what he did with your battles from Atlantis and 300. But you already worked them for that tricks right? I'm thinking specifically of the one versus the Champion.

No, the champion battle is not scripted. You just have to know how jousting ability works.

It was 15 years ago and games were totally different, mainly without all these stupid rules. Not to mention 10-minute turns. You can listen to him talking about that at the beginning of this video.

Even for 15 years ago, babbling about how good Kyree is because of logistic then walking around for a full week with 4 super-slow dwarves on Kyree equals very ignorant player.

Again, he is free to brag about what ever he want's and you are free to believe him or not.
Now, I am NOT, by far, one of the Top one thousand best players of this game in the world. I've been beaten often on competition and there are several custom maps I can't survive the first week. Yet, I can win some of the battles he loses and I don't create heroes of level 18 and then dismiss them cause they got a bad skill or lose them in battle cause of the most stupid mistakes, like leaving them inside a city with no army or using phoenix for Armageddon but forget to take the Orb of Vulnerability.
He is not a bad player, it has some solutions for commun fights and he chains quite well in the begginng when there is little to do. He has some good ideas of how to play the game but I would say they came more from observing others doing it then from his own creativity and this is where great players outstand.
He is none the less better then other players who also did long "Let's play" streams, like Boardgamer Girl and Oscar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjjUb3b15Ds but he is pretentious and with attemptive observation you can see he tries to mask his errors with reasonning. Specifically talking about Playthrough 6 he makes tons of errors in the development of a second hero and points their deffects has a reason for his own lack of care. In an entire XL map he was only able to develop a single main and that one wins the battles by pure strength in numbers.
It is not a bad game but it has no place in the Top Well Played Custom Maps.
