I honestly hate these small adventure objects, they don't offer enough reward to wade through them with the main army, but scout heroes can't deal with the battles with huge armies out of blue.

Hi.

The Witch Hut managed to teach my Reaver basic Destructive Magic. However the skill wheel says that he is only supposed to be able to learn SHATTER Destructive Magic.
The hero in question is Deidre.

I recorded it just in case.

@Elvin: Known Issue, QAI source code bug, formula was adjusted for it so if it had luck it would be overpowered.

@Strigvir: You can just ignore them if you don't like it, the RMG only cycles these objects with other 'immersion' objects intended to show the world is not created only for entertainment of the player. I have a high contrast screen and alt makes hardly any difference, so I don't use it.

Since death knight doesn't have benefit of increased occurrence generated by empathy, like all other melee classes do, perhaps it would be nice to make banshee howl more contextual, that is, it gives -1 M/L and -3% initiative per necromancy level, so that player that plays death knight doesn’t have to cast both sorrow and banshee howl to gain some proper negative morale effect, especially if the hero occurrence is so low because of empathy lack.
If that’s not possible, perhaps banshee should be -3M/L -9% initiative from the beginning?
Other approach to the problem of empathy lack in death knight is perhaps instead of herald of death some perk that will give +5% more initiative to all hero’s creatures, or, + 10% just for shooters, or melee creatures.

Or, instead of herald of death perk, -1 dead man’s curse for morale.

Skill ID's

Hey, the Skill ID's in Heroes 5.5 are not the same as in ToE

While i tried to give to Findan "Skill ID 113" it did not rly work

I would like to know if theres someone who know's thes ID's i would appreciate that.

You can see them ingame. There is a button that reveals the skillwheel in the skill section.

Sorry, I was hasty. If you mean the names used in game files like WILDFIRE(flaming arrows) or CUNNING_OF_THE_WOODS(know your enemy), there is some documentation in the game folder. I think it's called editor documentation? If you see it you'll recognize it.

It has never been possible in heroes 5 to give heroes perks with scripts/console commands. you can only give base skills.

That's not correct. Even in MMH5.5 it is possible to add both main skill and perks with commands like:
@GiveHeroSkill(“Heam”, SKILL_LUCK) -> gives Findan one base luck skill
@GiveHeroSkill("Heam", PERK_RESISTANCE) -> gives Findan magic resistance perk.
At least for luck skill the only perks that are unavailable to add are those that are changed, either in hierarchy or in meaning.

Town Portal

Might & Magic: Heroes 5.5 are wonderful, thanks a lot for this expirience, I am a huge fan!
Nevertheless, sometimes I feel like playing vanilla version, but what it really lacks is upgraded Town Portal spell. Level 25 requirement for teleporting to any castle is well balanced and I wonder if it is possible to make this feature available for Heroes 5 TotE v3.1 as a mod?

@fragerjap: too much work, switch off governance and town conversion and choose vanilla class to make game play like balanced vanilla.

Thanks for reply, I can edit MMH55-Settings.pak to switch off first two options, but what do you mean by "choose vanilla class"? Can I somehow play 5.5 with a TotE skillwheel?

Would I be correct in assuming that all efforts to increase the level cap to 50 (to account for the 8-skills option) have failed? I know there's a level 50 patch in the bugged section of that HoMM5 Patcher but I don't know if it's usable and just really buggy or completely useless.

@paradoxian: all attempts have failed, to fill all slots you need to score 5 witch huts and 2 or 3 knowledge trees, on ARMG XL+ maps this is possible.
