Sorry i overlooked your 2nd question:
Quote: Another thing I'd like to clarify. One of the ultimate items is called Cornucopia. My confusion is that some "combination" artifacts have reference to "Cornucopia 1/6" artifact. Do all eight of them act as if they were an ultimate Cornucopia? It's confusing to me.
No, the cornucopia also gives gold as extra bonus

I've played so far 4 ARMG games (Belt-type mostly) and lost 3 of them miserably. Lost pretty early, on 3rd month or so. I do play with Custom Game selected, game difficulty Hard, no Taxes or AI rush start. AI seems to be WAY too cheaty. They arrive at my main and only castle around month 3-4 with immense force (2-3 times bigger than mine) and with a stronger character. I admit I'm new to Heroes 5 in general and to HMM5.5 in particular, but I spend literally years playing Heroes 3 and know what's what.
There is no way an AI could have amassed so strong a force and developed such strong a character so early, often before I even dare to jump the teleport to discover neutral area.
Since I almost did everything to exclude AI cheating (except Hard difficulty, which I'm not sure if it's got something to do with AI player bonuses), I'm really confused now. Will changing the difficulty to Normal cut down AI cheating?
I've noticed a pattern that an AI with Aggressive setting is the one who steamrolls into my territory. Therefore another question: what is the difference between the Aggressive and Defensive AI? I mean, not only behaviour-wise, but cheat-wise& Even when an AI plays defensively, he presumably still has the same bloated force and character at his disposal.
Thanks for your answers... and for the great mod

The Ai will turtle on defensive but economy is not affected, you need to activate this option:
The tooltip in this screenshot however is outdated,
YOU MUST READ THE NEW TOOLTIP!!!

My bad guys, I wrote ".. I play Custom Game...".
I meant Casual. I did read the tooltip and therefore chose Custom Game to even things out. Suffered humiliating defeat from an Aggressive AI nevertheless.
Now I launched another game on Hard difficulty again, Casual Game again, but this time I set all the AI to Defensive. And now it's completely playable IMHO. I see some strong characters, but the size of their force is comparable to mine.

Right, some more b!tching from me
Am I the only person who notice the elephant in the room regarding a glaring flaw in campaign AI that is it often DOESN'T PICK UP artifacts, chests and resource piles after it has cleared the monster guarding it?
I mean it happens OFTEN. Very often. When I enter a zone for the 1st time I keep seeing left behind treasures. It's kind of... ridiculous... don't you think?
No one thinks it is pretty much game-breaking and immersion-breaking when AI provides such generous gifts to his enemies?

Muh 'mersions!
Doubt Magnomagus could do anything about it, your only hope is Quantomas releasing an update at some point.

Your snide reply made me google who Quantomas is. Luckily I already know who Magnomagus is (he is a helpful guy and apparently the leader of this mod).
My observation wasn't intended to blame anyone, simply an observation and maybe an invitation for a discussion. I'm not used to blaming someone for products I use for free.
Now I get it that this AI flaw (and probably the rest of them) are not going to be fixed due to Quantomas's departure from the mod, I'd like to ask an advice from anyone willing to help.
Is there a way to disable 5.5 AI and leave it vanilla, but keep the skill tree, spells, monster stats and everything else this amazing mod provides?
Thank you.

I'm facing two cosmetic but very annoying issues, I wanted to know if they are known - and if there are fixes known?
First, NCF creatures don't show creature names or description or any information about the creature apart from the picture, stats, and abilities. The names and description aren't shown on the map nor in any place in the battlefield - they seem to be lacking from the game...

The second issue is that the ingame skillwheel is completely blank:

I'm using the NCF, 64bit exe.
Any help would be appreciated...

@roymend
First issue:
Download and install NCF MegaPackInstaller
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gjjf5lsphr9ffgv/AAAkv4t6-9ON6bI26v6VOo6Ca/NCFMegaPackInstaller.rar?dl=0
NCFMegaPackInstaller contains not only translation (names of creatures and creatures info) but also all creatures icons for mapeditor.
BTW in English translation there are several Russian texts

From what I know it's what's H55_Utility.exe is for. It runs H55 but without Quantomas A.I.
But let's wait for someone else to confirm.

@Roymend: There is clearly a serious mod conflict/install error going on.
I have been reluctant in the past to advertise H55+NCF much because I know it is hard to use for people without knowledge of h5 modding and I'm not using it myself so I'm not aware of how these kind of issues can occur.
I hope dredknight & mario can help you but otherwise I would try first to focus on getting h55 to work well without extra baggage.

This is correct, you want to use the utility exe file, except that it doesn't support 8 skills (this was also added by Quantomas).

@saamohod: it is important for you to deactivate cheating when using utility.exe, for this file it can only be done by editing MMH55-Settings.pak read article on moddb about 'customizing town managent'

@roymend
As the designer of the in-game skillwheel, the unwritten disclaimer is that it's guaranteed to work with MMH5.5 as it ships without any compatibility guarantee with any other external mod. I did not even test it with NCF, and it's certain here that there is a conflict.
Can you describe specifically which (any and all) mods and maps do you have installed?

@Mario That fixed the texts indeed, thank you for the help! I downloaded the mod + NCF pack from the instructions on how to use them on moddb, and there ot doesn't mention the NCF MegaPackInstaller. Whoever moderates it, maybe you'll want to add ot to that page.
@magnomagus @thGryphn The blank skillwheel doesn't seem to be a problemof conflicting mods, neither an install error. I deleted all the mods including all NCF-related stuff (that's the only thing I had actually), uninstalled MMH5.5, redownloaded the installer to make sure it's not corrupted, and reinstalled. The bug persists, and I'm playing now without any NCF or other mod (of course in a new game, I deleted the old saves). So it's hard for me to believe that this is NCF-related. I did notice however, that the skillwheel is accessible from the hero page, and is functional there; It's only blank when accessed from the adventure map, or from the level-up window (which is the main place where it's important). Actually, from the level-up window the left part does work but not the right, and the window itself hides it anyway:

As soon as I choose a skill and press okay, the level-up window disappears but so does the left part and the skillwheel returns to completely blank.

NCF tutorial updated to reflect creatures text issues.
Magno would you mind updating RC9_NCF_executables and add the MHH55_NCF_editor.exe . Also could you share ownership across those downloads so they can be administrated from my side as well.
I believe this permission will be given if you link them to the New Creature Framework moddb page.

@dredknight: isn't it possible for you to do it? can you merge rc8b patch + rc9 executables in one file then upload on NCF page and leak it into my downlaod section. (don't forget to copy paste entire description of rc8b patch). after that I will remove the old files.

@magnomagus It was definitely installed, I checked. And deleting the maps, the saves, and the RMGTemp folder (in data), none of them have any effect, still blank. It's weird
