Facebook is the snow it is because the majority of the users there are basically braindead, not because of the like system. I'd like to think better of HC. Call it user quality, the sort you find on any other website, including reputable news and gaming ones.

Well let me reply, guys. First, Who the **** told you I came up with this idea from Facebook? Also, what kind of dippoop would abuse this feature?
Let's pretend someone did, I think my post was very clear and honest.

I was actually doing a test in this thread, a test that no one discovered. Like, did you recognize me to not reply in such a thread? Why didn't I reply?
It's actually quite funny, but you get that, you are all(I actually mean most of you  ) copying and pasting each other's Facebook hate posts in different text and manners.

Making someone feel good about their posts is very well, but what about the dislikes? Do you realize, Herry, that if this feature was implemented when you joined, your EVERY post would be disliked into oblivion? How long exactly you would have stayed here after that? One day? One week at most?
And some of you really need reading lessons. There has been a fairly good discussion about the system, including suggestions for tweaking and close to no mentions of Facebook. I feel like a broken record right now.

I find this PLUS rather compelling, actually. At least in my point of view, it's a good way to approximate people you don't know in an amicable way, making yourself known and also your opinion, differently from a mechanical anonymous upvote/downvote. I think short, but truthful answers, are but a tool for closeness and have important value, ever in their own simplicity.

Dislike: It keeps them real. You are right in one thing. My below average posts would be disliked to oblivion, if you call not causing any harm oblivion. I said it, but I don't mind repeating:

And by the way, it's not my fault that some people are butthurt crybabies.
Plus, HELLO GUYS?! Don't you have trust in each other? Even if people DO abuse that system, it's much like a reflect type of thing. If you keep abusing the down votes, people will eventually know who you are, and then you will be recognized as 1) an abusing piece of poop, 2) someone that doesn't respect the other users, the rules, and the most sweet part, the system itself. Plus, the mods or Valeriy would probably revoke the abuser's right to vote.
Also, I would like to remind you, that the penalty system was ALSO abused, by a mod no less. Well, for a short amount of time before the penalties got removed, but there is also a chance someone out there will abuse it. That's what makes a human. Also, why the **** do you think someone will risk getting banned and/or treated like trash just to dislike a post, not even harming it? Let's even go as far as to say that some unrealistic guy wants to have revenge, it would be easier to DDoS this place to hell, rather than just childishly dislike. I might have contradicted myself, but that is to make a point: Should the system be abused, trust me it will last at the unreal best 1 to 2 months.
Also, here is a tip: Use arguments where I actually can't say no bla bla, if you don't want this feature. Example: Say you don't even like it, I don't give a crap.
Also pandatar: I said would, it doesn't take someone's freedom to say that. BTW what kind of reply is that

Lol, the occasional MightyMage's penalty spree(I think that's what herry's reffering to) is hardly abuse of the qp system.
It's a jolly bit of fun to scold some noobs, and it's an old HC tradition.
