I wish in Heroes 8 (Skill system)
8 Might Skills:
Offense, Defense, Leadership, Destiny
War cry, Warfare, Explorer, Nobility.
8 Magic Skills:
Air Magic, Earth Magic, Fire Magic, Water Magic
Light Magic, Dark Magic, Learning, Sorcery.
Skill (Class): Novice(N)-> Expert(E)-> Master(M)
1 Skill: 6 Abilities
Faction Skill: 6 Abilities + 3 Abilities(Grand Master:GM)
Might GM (Only Might Hero)
Magic GM (Only Magic Hero)
Faction GM (Might, Magic Hero)

given the circumstances, it might make sense for you to wish for Heroes 8 full stop before going on to wish for what's in it lol

For me it would be both: take and improve the mechanics from H5, and provide visuals NWC style. Then, lore would be the only thing left bothering me, instead of all three aspects.

This! What should have happened is Master of Magic has a baby with Disciples 2 while HoMM3 does it with Warlords3 - than those two babies grow up and create the best TBS offspring ever.

Galaad, I wonder, how would you define "NWC style"?
It can be in different way interpreted, but the most efficent reason is not to get lore to dictate gameplay features.

I agree with that but is not what I was saying. I really meant visually: how the units, world, heroes etc look, and how it affects the player's immersion. Ashan lore being pushed down our throats by any possible way is another matter.
@Medic
Defining aesthetics is a very hard thing to do, but I guess you can understand from different universes comes different spirit which reflects visually. The fact I favor NWC visuals is purely subjective, the fact Ubi games look totally different isn't.
