The Glade is on life support. Been that way for a while. The only thing that survived through the ages is pokemon. And I'm not even in it. Other threads spring up and die again. Pathfinder RP is alive, just barely. At least I'm in that.

I've tried a few over the years, but never committed to any, because they've all felt too limiting compared to LHW. My main problem is that not being allowed to auto other people's characters makes progress too slow and limits what I can write.

Then why don't you start autoing their characters again?
The main reason I don't participate anymore is that I simply do not have the time to commit. Work keeps me occupied and my weekends are crammed.

I've got the world map done (mainly for lore reasons and to make things more clear) and the plot is divided into many smaller pieces which I hope we would go over as time goes by. This way, there's a higher chance we could wrap things up before someone leaves, and continue off some other time with a new plot piece. But there are still some loose ends that I need to fix. Then I have to do some geography, cover all of the races and add history, but I wanted to ask if there's any interest in actually starting the thing up.
It's a fantasy type RPG - a mix between low and high fantasy. The first plot revolves around a dispute over an island and an imminent war between two countries (with some twists on the way). Your characters will be swept into this mess willingly or unwillingly and will have to re-establish order.
I hope we can pull this off before I get buried beneath school work next year and uni preparations.
Also, I'm open for suggestions on this. Do you want me to add something specific? HCM me and I'll see if it can be done.

Why don't you start small, Noob? I mean, without showing a world map yet, while you add this and that, spices, as a lack of better word, as you evolve the history also based on the number of people willing to play and those who enter and leave. This way you can easily fix and prune things whenever changes happen, also not making player's decision get too edgy to be solved and adapted to your starting point. RPG must evolve and be able to take in the adamant number of possibilities of those who are involved in it.
That's only a suggestion. If you want to show a map, I would suggest you to show an area, as if the one who designed the map doesn't have the knowledge of what lies beyond the boundaries of their kingdom. Something like this, but maybe in a smaller scale:

Drawing stuff on a computer is not something I excel at; a detailed map would take me ages to make.
As I stated above, my map is just for references, to let players better grasp what I'm talking about if I ever need to mention a specific location during the RPG. I actually drew an "alpha" version of it some time ago, tweaked some things here and there and such to get this... uh, piece of art.
Too much freedom can hinder a game (I have learned that from Harklen), but now I'm not going to say "you start here, and that's final, otherwise you don't get to play". I've said that if anyone wants something added into the game, they should send me a message and I'd see whether I can incorporate it or not.
