Poll Question: Heroes 7, rise or fall?
Simple question. I don't care about ideal scenarios, I want pragmatism based on what you've seen so far. Should it rise or should it fall?

Rise? Of course it should be good!

You're missing the point of the question. Given what it is likely to happen, do you want this series to conclude or not. Major difference compared to ideal scenarios where H7 end ups winning GotY awards.

That's not not what you asked:
Stevie said: Should it rise or should it fall?
Anyway, I think it depends. If Limbic get green lit to make one or two expansions without too much control from Ubi, sure. It could rise. wont happen for at least a year though and there are a lot of things that will need to happen first but it could happen.
likelier that Ubi will just instantly begin work on a new one though

Personally, I want H7 to go the TotE way.
And this time around, I hope the powers that be stick with the end result to build the next Heroes game upon .

You took these words out of my mouth, Maurice. However, I start to lose hope that this turn of events may be possible.

Well with that perspective, I'd say I hope for the opposite: I hope H7 falls so that we can get a new design team that goes back to H5 and builds the next installment on that. Unless they completely eradicate the skill and magic system during H7 expansion progress and reverts to something that's more H5 like, H7 will always remain a worse foundation for a sequel than H5, and unfortunately I see chances of that heppening to be very small.

Please not again. One of the problems that new Heroes suffer from is the fact that each was done by separate team. Whenever one fails, Ubi finds another and tells them to not follow the old ways -_-

The development team experience doesn't really matter if they have no idea what heroes is about and if Erwan is there to share his lack of vision with them.
We need company that will really interact/brainstorm with us on their visions and ideas instead of diving head first like Limbic. The dev also needs some independence like Nival had with h5 from Ubi. Ubi can assign Erwan to oversee AC for example and get creative with his buddha-zen spiders

That's a very complicated question. And I, for one, think that it depends on the devlopment team(including the leads) and the fans. Some fans like where the current MMH(or HoMM if you will) series is going, while others don't. Nobody knows for sure, though, who are the majority.
Now, as individual games, all of the games in the series are enjoyable, but that's a whole lot different when it comes to comparing them as games in the HoMM series. And most of us(from HC, that is) agree that the latter 2 games suck. In particular, because of the direction where they are going.
As of now, MMH games are more like games based on HoMM, but I can tell you they don't belong there. Hence, Ubisoft chose the wrong team to continue the development of the HoMM series. This tells us a lot, actually. This tells us that Ubisoft don't give a **** about making good HoMM games, they just want money from rights they bought, and I hope they will never have it. If they truly wanted to continue making successful games for the series from the bottom of their hearts, the would've taken a a lot more care.
"We take well-established games and take them to the 21th century" - Erwan.
While taking them to the so-called 21th century, they did something that wasn't so unlikely - Overdoing it. Overdoing is a common mistake around the whole planet. But worse yet, I don't think(and correct me if I'm wrong) they completely realize that. What I mean by overdoing is, they did bring some good and refreshing changes to the franchise, but some of them were out of place or too far. When I played Heroes VI(I haven't played VII to an extent where I can accurately convey my thoughts in a non-biased way and without bull****), it was good as a game, but it didn't feel like I was playing a Heroes game. What I mean is, they changed it too much, so much it went from(in my opinion) heavily-strategy to heavily-RPG. I'm not necessarily saying the RPG aspects such as choosing decisions is bad, but they should respect that strategy still is the main genre for Heroes, and it won't budge.
But let's not get too far, I'd say this isn't the end yet, and there won't be one soon, if they know what to do with the next game. So my answer is, it'll probably not rise, but it still won't drown, e.g none of the above
If the developers don't change their way of doing things, though, HoMM probably won't survive the next game.
And sorry in advance if this post is bull****, still working on that.

I totally agree, it's cruel to see how the series went down after Heroes V.
I thought TotE would lay the foundation for glorious titles to come, instead we are now stuck with this bland, messy, generic, unfinished mobile game called Might & Magic: Heroes 7.
How did this happen??

I'll tell you how it happened: Erwan le Breton became the Creative Director of M&M. Seriously, do you guys think that all the snow ups following him are all a coincidence?

It should definitely rise.
I'll go into details with my review but the game had some positive surprises. after it's bugs get fixed and hopefully some balance updates I think it's in good shape for some more content. I'm still having fun with it.
