That was a false statement, a lie.
It was actually a trick. Blank spaces count as characters - at least, for the computers and IT department and such. Meaning there were 37 characters in that sentence.

It was almost too easy.
I would betray just about all of you for a plate of chicken fingers. That was too easy and we all know the answer is True.
So for something serious...
I think Jane Eyre is one of the finest examples of Gothic fiction ever written.

Let's go. It Raenus' turn. Jane Eyre is not Gothic fiction.

It is considered Gothic fiction for some reason.
It is false because I HATE Jane Eyre and view it is a blight upon the literary world. It was falsely labeled a "classic" and almost ruined classic literature for me forever.

Quote: How so?
Gothic fiction is ghost stories, werewolves, vampires etc. It takes its name from the Gothic castles the stories often take place. Jane Eyre is similar to Jane Austen novels, the story of a woman, her family, emotional affairs and social trends of the day, difficulties of being a woman in 19th century England etc.

Who considers that? I never heard of it mentioned as an example of Gothic fiction, it doesn't make sense

That is a very narrow definition of Gothic. A book does not necessarily have to deal with any of those to be Gothic, from what I have read.
False.

Even if you take on Gothic fiction with a broader definition, Jane Eyre would certainly be excluded if you don't broaden it to the level of "anything from 19th century goes."
As the link confirms, it's considered Bildungsroman, those are the novels that revolve around a family (usually alongside generations) and describe the life and change of society through the eyes of that family.

The first link is broken.
The book still touches upon similar themes that are common in Gothic fiction, such as, potential supernatural happenings and psychological horror. So I would still argue it could be considered Gothic fiction.

Fixed link. I wouldn't, I'd say that would be like considering Star Wars a comedy because of C3PO. But I guess it can be considered a matter of perspective. So, let's go back to the game.

Yeah, there is probably no reason to wait on someone to post the correct answer, so to keep the game moving I'll award Artu since he seems to be active. You are up.
As for my parents, it was caused by growing up on a ranch with a mother who worked the night shift and father who had to run the ranch. For what it is worth those are the only real incidents I have had, it took two mistakes to cause my father to pull his head out of his posterior
