I like how the fog of war looks like an old map, it looks really neat.

for Heroes. Is simply amazing, effective, clear, elegant and humble.
Readability is perfect, only needs fairytal-ish aspect of HoMM-II then orgasm, and townscreens ofc.

fairytal-ish aspect is given by objects and creatures, not by weird mountains and tress, as I saw in latest Heroes games.
I would love to have a map where I can spot things this clearly.

Is given by art design in general, is defined by the very environment you dive in.

Indeed horrible.

There appears to be some confusion about that.

Idk, scrolled through a dozen or so comments and it seems overwhelmingly positive.

So far, I'm really excited to play it. I'm trying to beat Civ V with every culture before VI comes out and only have 12 left to go.

Would be strange also, considering that he was in Libya.

THEY improved it!! Still 1upt but with limited stacking. They allow improved units to stack to combine greater armies... kinda. Hard to explain.
They allow specific units to STACK one time with other units to Defend them aswell!!
STACKS OF DOOM???? NO WAY!!
Strategic Stacks? Certainly!!

Well, stack of doom was one of the things I loved about. Now, if they come with a better option but game play is not tainted with tons of technical approximations and frustration due to it, I am for.
But the way is implemented in C5, no thanks. I mean, beside the traffic jam which is unbearable late game, even the workers are now constantly interrupted in their task with such many stacks roaming around, then you have to remember each turn which worked did and what. Was that such difficult to code this to occur only when you click end turn and reevaluate the menace when you do so? Because no matter you killed all intruders, workers are still active. Bad tested, bad coded.

Stack of doom was something which I started to loathe for its cheesiness after I saw the brilliance of positional strategy. But fair enough, the congestion was high at some point in the game. They said they learned from it and provided adjustments with Civ 6. Limited stacking might prove to be the best of both worlds. It remains to be seen if that's the case.

I like the three man stacks turning a unit into a battalion sounds like a solid improvement and compromise. Hopefully the corps system is available from the start and not with a technology (that's stacking more than one of the same unit in one tile 2-3 ). Personally wouldn't mind more. Problem with doomstacking wasn't that it was one big force vs one big force, it was that a whole bunch of different unit types on one tile if they got rid of that then all would be fine and dandy.
OR if they went down the Europa Universalis style battles it would be fine too.
