I love HoMM 3 but the conflux faction is a joke to me. Used 4 of the neutrals of the game and thrown in pixies (previously alligned with sorveress which is a pretty nature orientated town). And i think magic elemental is the most lame design i've ever seen
You I like. All heroes games have bad designs, such as H3's vampire rabbits and h7's robo slender monkeys.
Also, good point about conflux. If it's ever going to be reintroduced it should get a major reimagining...

Why would one buy this piece of sh*t?
Vanilla has problems that nobody cared to fix. Don't pour more money, only to realize u have the same crap game but with one more faction.
DON'T BUY EXPANSION.

I probably won't buy it (since I'm unlikely to buy vanilla game unless something extremely radical happens), but I don't mind the hamsters as such. In fact, I think if they had called them Combat Hamsters / Berserk Combat Hamsters it would have shown a great sense of humor and been a nice tongue-in-cheek acknowledgement of Heroes 5.

Of course I am going to buy it but I guess it doesn't surprise anyone.
More people to buy it means more chances for more improvements.
Also it means Lizard, Acid & the others will have more possibilities/less work with modding.

I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Ubi has shown time and time again that they don't give a rats butt about Heroes (well maybe they had something at the begining with H5, but it all went downhill from there). It's apparent from how the game is handled nowadays. My guess is that 'Hamsters' will literally be the swan (hamster? Valkyrie?) song for this franchise...

You should find some time to play them 
They're pretty different to the vanilla ones. I finally feel the heroes are really powerful. I couldn't pass through the first mission (Unity), it was a bit boring, but then I really started to enjoy the tales.

I will buy it.
Even though H7 wasn't the best (and arguably one of the worst in series), I've enjoyed it enough to purchase the expansion as well - provided it is 25€ or less.
If it's more I will wait a bit and get it when discounted.

Eventually? Yeah for sure. I'll either be waiting for someone to turn fortress back into fortress  or for it to go on sale for 15$ or less. Ashan to the trashcan mod is much more of an expansion in my eyes

H6 after Shades of Darkness turned out to be an ok game (much less bugs, boring yet long campaign, interesting factions, great graphics/ sounds/ musics).
I don't think any amount of expansions will make H7 a better game. H6 was the most different heroes game, but at least devs/ubi/erwan had a goal. Game may not appeal to everyone but it's not terribad in the end (although way too based on resurrection/heal/ no losses easy optimization battles / dynasty weapons brokenness).
With all due respect to Black Hole / Limbic™, they weren't up to manage such huge projects. How can B-level rts dev (Black Hole: Warhammer - Battle March was terrible) accept to put their hands in Hom&m?
Although Limbic managed to do the impressive M&MX: Legacy, there's a huge difference between an rpg and one of the most demanding tbs.
There's nothing worse than a game without goals: That's why, take it for what it is, Heroes 7 is honestly the worst heroes (consider hom&m1: a strategic quest as a beta for heroes 2 if you will).
Also the campaign fiasco would need much more polishing (budget of the game so low there's no animated cutscenes, wtf)
EDIT: Erwan might be the smartest dude ever: he tries to destroy the heroes franchise to bring back JVC? He's the champion we deserve!

I'm generally a Ubi-detractor (based on what their development team did to this once mighty series)... but I feel like this new dwarves faction is one of their better ones creatively speaking.
The rhino/lava elemental feels more forced to me than anything else in the faction.
The were-hamster/gerbil/beaver/gopher thing honestly elicits more of a "LOL, oh ok whatever" than a "this snow seriously needs to go! Arghh..." (i.e. the most unwelcome green-glow snowy spiderization of Necropolis).

Hi everyone, does anybody know how much will the expansion cost and if it will be released on time? We are coming closer and closer to the release date and both advertising and news are at a all time low :s (they even tried to compensate a bit by publishing a novel oO').
