Just bought this hamster faction(Trial By Fire)
And, just because I already had the original copy patched up to version 2.2.1, this so-called stand-alone expansion, ended up downgraded to a mere add-on bonus to the game.
So...in order to fully benefit of the extra faction of the Dwarves, from the main menu of the game, click on the Adventure button that brings you to the secondary main menu that will, now, give you access to the full benefits of the Dwarves Add-On features of the complete game.
By clicking on the Add-On button, you enable a totally different map and council room than that of the previously well known council animated picture of the map of Ashan showing the Haven leader, the Orc leader and, the Sylvan leader. This time around, you then see the Haven leader, the female Dwarf leader and, the Necropolis leader. Therefore, auto. enabling access to both the Necromancer campaign and the six scenario bound's Dwarven campaign.
Found that the R.M.G.'s AI players are no longer extremely aggressive towards the sole human player of any given random large sized map.
Furthermore, it turns out, for myself anyway, that the Add-On expansion is classified under the DLC type of game enhancing of the original"Vanilla" within the Uplay game client's game page.
Have a nice week at playing Heroes 7: Completed Edition.

I am still waiting for the Gold edition before buying, maybe even the Platinum edition, and perhaps... the Game of the Year edition.
And if that doesn't satisfy me, I'm waiting for the Collector's Edition, and hope that it comes with an undead spider signed by Erwan himself, with a note on how his unparalelled Ashanite genius widely surpassed anything the original NWC staff ever had in mind.
Not going to settle for less, a great game must be played in the best way!

The DLC itself is not too bad... at least not as bad as I thought. Not worth $29 for sure, but at 50% off or 75% off it's worth a shot. The problem wit AI & bugs are omnipresent so it doesn't really make a difference on that front

Do not know, if this is the right thread for it but I have to write it down:
Was on a shopping trip yesterday and I also went to a shop, where there are washing machines, mobile phones, laptops and all the stuff and also games. Found H7 and thought, look at the price, perhaps it is now cheap enough.
Normal version still costs 20 euros and the complete edition cost 40 euros! 40!
I've left it.
