Heroes 5.5 Submod - Unique Hero Models
Hey everyone. I decided to make a little project for the H5.5 mod which I deemed to be quite good and made my return to a heroes game after a while quite welcome!So I decided since the only thing the mod lacked imo was the unique models to add them myself.

Put the file in the data folder inside your Tribes of the East install folder and replace the older file.Always remember to make a backup
Well what it includes ALL the Unique Hero Models found on the threads on this forum and external websites( I'll put the links on my credits)I'm really lazy to write every hero added in to be honest. The only ones not includes are Vayshan who's model I found sub par (maybe I should have removed Anwen too not sure) and those like Gilraen Helmar and a couple others who don't have one.
Also Heroes like Kha-Beleth, Giovanni and Alaric get their original models which for the two first come with some clunky animations. I thought better to have those models and have to endure some bad anims since I like every hero to be as unique as possible.
To the credits now:
I have made none of the models that are included in this sub-mod and I do not in any circumstance claim this as MY mod. All I did was copy paste some xml lines. I will credit every author I could find in the forum and link their work.
- So first and foremost kudos to Psatkha for his great Haven Models.

Well that's good to know! Although I had no idea you were still working on it  I guess this mod will have to serve as a temporary solution until you finish your work! Be sure to let me know when you have more stuff I'll definitely add the link to the post (nothing to the mod of course).

That's why I said it's only a temporary solution. It' quite clear your models are of a higher quality than the usual community found ones. I only compiled them and I can even delete mine when yours is done as I'm sure it will be complete. Until you do your thing anyone could enjoy this

My work here is actually done Psatkha is the modeler and the one who actually works on making even better models. Myself I'm just a dude who spent a few hours copypasting the work other people did. Since most of the people that contributed to the original post are quite hard to find I decided to just upload it!
And thanks for downloading it!If you found anything problematic tell me to check it.I'm pretty sure everything works fine but you never know

I ought to try HOMM 5.5 some time, but not now. Those models in the first website truly look great.
Is there actually any mod that does this but for vanilla HOMM?

I know the reply is VERY late but I kinda decided I wanted to try HOMMV again. Does it not work anymore? What changes have been made to 5.5? I can't update I'm afraid since it will take a ton of my time which unfortunately I don't have anymore.
Also have any other similar project been made? Honestly this was quite an amateurish attempt of bundling a ton of stuff together. It's not like I did any of it so updating would require among other stuff to learn how to do it

The mod works but some of the heroes like Jhora still has the old model.

So after a while I redownloaded Heroes V. This submod after testing it a bit causes crashes when playing with Nicolai and learning certain light magic spells. I haven't tested more but I updated the mod and the crashes stopped occuring.
All I did was do a mashup of the new modded and unmodded data file and it turned quite well. This certain crash stopped and hopefully it's at least playable.
At some point after I finish work I'm going to upload the updated file. Just for a heads up this is not tested so you will be using it at the risk of crashing a nice map you are playing but I think it's better than nothing.
The models do work.

So I updated it to the latest version but it's so long since I edited the first one I couldn't even remember how I did it. More models work for the older files but new ones are more stable and without crashes. I'm gonna leave both versions here. Anyone that actually knows what he's doing can pick this up and make it fully work hopefully.

I have played a lot H5, I'm totally burned out on it which is why I play every once in a while I get nostalgic. Which is pretty much when I return to this forum as well.
Seems like this was not picked up :s I had hoped updating it at least once would bring to the 1st page and maybe someone would see it and do it correctly. I still have the links up and will continue to do so of course.
I could try making it better with some help cause I can't do it by my self anymore.

Yea 5.5 needs better textures IMO. I tried updating this stuff but it was too hard for me.
