This is beyond my ability to fix with any expedience. I have to appeal to the mage of the land for help.

Nope. I have no jurisdiction outside of the H7 main forum and the H6 one. I can't fry Stevie's "experiment".

Stevie, I am in disagreement with your actions here. You violated the Code of Conduct (point 4 - flooding) in order to test whether it can be done and you did this without prior consultation with me or the moderators. You've used automated means to generate a substantial amount of flood that required effort to clean up. Security testing should be a planned activity. This bears closer resemblance to daring hooliganism.
To address the point about "positive intentions": the logic of your positive intentions here is similar to punching a friend and saying "well, friend, your reflexes are weak, someone else could punch you just like this and I've done you a favour by punching you to point this out". Thing is, friends let their guard down around their friends because they trust them to act in a caring and respectful manner. HC is designed in a similar way. You've earned the trust of HC through your positive contributions on the forums and earned a Responsible status with 4 red stars. Because of this HC trusts you and doesn't try to protect itself from you with floodprotect and other restrictions. The status assumes that you are someone who acts responsibly.
A -QP has been applied to your account for this COC violation. I hope that you reflect on this incident with maturity. We need to be able to trust our responsible members. It is not OK to violate the COC for "security testing purposes" unless such testing has been discussed and approved with me or the moderators in advance.

Does this mean it'll be easier to delete threads from now on?
Edit: Heroes Community Rapid Posting Protection, eh? I guess the 2 min. flood protect isn't enough anymore, but do we need both?

now that there's an anti-multi thread feature, do we really need the anti-multi post feature? because i think that we're all responsible enough not to multi-post spam. we're all adults here, right? or adultish? and the consequences are -qp's(as we've seen here with stevie's punishment), so... how about removing the post-limit time-restriction, val? floodprotect really slows down response time, and surely wastes mine, and others' time.

In your dreams Fred, you need 8 qps to get rid of floodprotect.

no you don't. all you need is everyone to agree that floodprotect is akin to treating people like children. might as well tell us when to post, ffs. or stop people from posting once it's past their country's bedtime.
really, it's insulting to have to jump through hoops just to be able to post without having to wait on a snowing timer.

I do agree with that, allow me to propose a very good solution for QPs to not be garbage lol
instead of being rewarded with floodprotect, all members with QPs are awarded $500 per QP from a HC money pot which the Mexican members will pay for lol
members who are Honorable and whose usernames begin with a "V" or "G" are awarded an extra $2,500 each because reasons cheers lol

Hey there just so you know, modified quoting of members whose username start with V or G is the worst offense one can do at HC, even the wrath of the Valhammer crushing all your stars cannot make for the enormous amount of cash misquoted member shall receive as a compensation.

I wasn't posting multiple threads.
I have said this before over the years and I'll say it again. Flood protect makes sense in that it prevents spam bots from easily ruin the forum, but it doesn't make sense that people who obv. aren't spam bots still have flood protect.
The idea of letting qp's solve this issue is good if qp's worked as intended, but we have had lots of well known people who have been part of the community for over half a decade and still have flood protect for no reason. E.g. meroe only ever got 1 qp, yet she was one who no one had anything against.
To say it is a reward is kind of silly in my opinion, why do we not want people we like to be able to post more than once every 2 minutes because some people arbitrarily didn't give her enough red stars?
