Plz people, re-read my previous post, OK.
It is not about the mere patching process but, about downloading the whole game digitally. The original one. Now that the digital download is forceably at version 2.2.1, the game, in its whole, is way larger than that of the initial release on both DVD and Digital download @ version 1.0.0.
I do believe the game might have come at a mere 6 to 7 Gigabytes in size and @ version 1.0.0. So, the patches merely overwritten themselves over and over all the way to the last version of it all. Therefore, 6.5 Gigabytes + all the new content that all patches have brought us @ 7.5 Gigabytes(approx. and not official amount of a database) = 14 or more Gigabytes of files and database(Think I saw 14.67x Gigabytes).
Moreover, that 14.6 Gigabytes of a download is not including the expansion of Trial by Fire. That would increase its database of files all the way to a whopping 20+ Gigabytes in total.
In conclusion, I figure that the Stand-Alone Expansion of Trial By Fire would be sufficient enough for a decent game-play of a thorough gaming experience within the Heroes VII's final Edition of such title.
But, then again, getting the Heroes VII Complete Edition might very well be the better of both evils.

It still doesn't make sense that you wouldn't be able to download the game based on total RAM in your machine, if the game exceeds that amount. While downloading, the data is written to your harddisk. A fair number of downloaders even allow for partial downloads, so you can continue where you left off at a later time, if for some reason you need to disconnect the PC (for instance, while it's powered off ).

But Maurice, if you have Windows 27 and use a floppy disk to query files on the motherboard, you can get Heroes 7: Revenge of the Spoder with a speed of 100 volts. You need to have your drivers loaded inside system32, but be sure to have 1337.dll inside windows/drivers_2015+1.exe. Only then you must sacrifice a goat to Cthulhu and disable the antivirus, then go to the hardware store from Boston to get your new graphic card.

You know Raenus, after this I don't think we can be friends anymore. I mean, no matter how you look at it, by buying Heroes 7 you endorse and support the mistreatment of the franchise. You might argue that I bought it too, but I'd argue back that there's a difference between pre-ordering and buying it after support has ended with all the information and reviews at your disposal. So I'm afraid this is something I can't ignore no matter how much I'd try, I wouldn't want anyone to mistake my silence for approval.
But I believe in second chances, so we can be friends right back again. Just don't buy Trial by Fire and we're good.

Mighty generous of you . I would actually argue that what I ended up doing was far more responsible than pre-ordering. I waited to see the general consensus and made an informed decision rather than blindly putting money towards a game/developer that had proven itself untrustworthy multiple times in multiple ways. If the reviews had been mostly negative rather than mixed I never would consider buying the game. That combined with the fact that I spent less than half what you did puts me on the moral high ground in my mind.

Really?
Eventually I'll buy it, in order to play these:

Currently it's unplayable: a pure technical trash, as we discussed over and over.

It is more like HoMM3-Complete through Gog.com.
Anyone downloaded, installed and, used their newest game client called: GOG Galaxy?
GoG turned out to be a real success story as an internet based game store.
Anyway, came here to remind everyone that the real culprit for any 32bit or 64bit games to run properly on the Win 10 Home v.1607-64bit is the need to download and install the Full Package of Direct X 9.29.xxxx.
Otherwise, all large games will not load nor run, at all.
Besides, Win. 10 Home version 1607 runs way better when it comes to wiping out all of your Hard-Disk Drive and re-install the original version. So, that way, the original version skips all the previous patches/upgrades/cumulative updates up to the ones just before the main upgrade of version 1607. Then, and only then, the last updates and cumulative updates install without a glitch.
Plus, latest video and, audio drivers install themselves in an instant with surprising results. As long as all of the other game support apps are also installed in order to smoothen the launch of all of your PC games.
Therefore, Heroes VII loads way quicker than before and launches itself a lot quicker also. I, yet, may reconsider launching a strategy game a bit more often than for the past year or so.
